Hiya, CV Dungeon!

I've just launched my website, which I plan to use to host new and translated developer interviews, articles, etc--I'm focused on classic and/or Japanese games, but anything goes. There are only a few things online at the moment, but I'm pushing for more content that'll be posted in the coming weeks and I'm really hoping to establish a regular schedule.

Anyway, one of the initial posts includes a translated developer interview from Shogakukan's "Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo Official Guide Book", which you can read here:

http://gosokkyu.com/post/79456686343/akumajou-dracula-x-chi-no-rondo-interview-lead

The interviewee goes by the pseudonym "Nyajiou" and is listed as lead programmer, but just going off the development roles he lists in the interview, I'm guessing it's Toru Hagihara, a CV veteran whose credentials probably don't need to be repeated here.

I'm a big CV fan and would love to be able to provide more CV-related material in the future, in particular pre-SOTN stuff, so if you source anything cool, feel free to let me know, either here on the forums or via twitter (@gosokkyu) and I'll see what I can do. Any general feedback/suggestions you might have for my site are welcome, too, by the way.

Enjoy!

Awesome! I know there's an interview with Akumajo Dracula X68000's director.

Neat, thanks for this!

I have another x68k-related document somewhere, come to think of it... I think it's an omake file from the disc.

Looks like the same one, yeah.

I also have a SOTN-era interview/discussion with Hagihara/IGA/Yamane but the transcript is quite tough to read so I don't know how I'm gonna handle that one. Hopefully I can find some Bloodlines-related material, too.

About Bloodlines, you may want to check out MegaDriveFAN. They covered the game quite extensively back in the day. They even held a contest where people could contribute enemy and trap designs.

Also, there is this blurb about the game from the Rondo strategy guide. Supposedly it says the game was intented to be a gaiden and spawn its own franchise.

Oh, cool! Once again, thank you!

I can't guarantee I'll be able to get to this stuff anytime soon--I already have a huge backlog, and I don't wanna drop too many CV-related articles one after the other--but we'll see how it goes.

Just take your time and do what you can. It'll be done when it gets done  ;)

You should add dates of the interview. It'd be helpful in figuring what is relevant to what and when.

Even if i don't care about the content (in this case, i do). I always appreciate the time and effort that goes into this kind of thing. Nice work.
