Looks like if there's fan interest, the developers of NES Remix wouldn't mind throwing in some Castlevania or Contra into an NES Remix game.

What mini-challenges would you like to see?

With Zelda 1 Link, so you can't jump.

With Zelda 2 Link would be interesting but not as funny.

That tune would be 'Heart of Fire' I believe.
"Spirituality is God's gift to humanity...
Religion is Man's flawed interpretation of Spirituality given back to humanity..."

Yep, the hall before the Reaper or the Frankenstein level. Love to see some newbies try those on for size.. lol

This magic whip could be an example of advanced alien technology.

-An obvious series would be to get the various hidden treasures.

They could literally do tons with this (or with Contra) given the way the first worked.
CV:
- Upgrade your whip
- Kill and enemy with a knife/axe/etc.
- Kill XXX boss
- Get a double/triple weapon
- Don't get smashed
...
Contra:
- Get across the bridge
- Kill XXX boss
- Grab a powerup
...the list could go on.

As for mix levels...I'm sure it's possible...I'll have to think of a few ideas!

yep, boss rush would be awesome.  i'm having flashbacks to playing Harmony of Dissonance in Boss Rush as Simon now. :D

Oh yeah, those are classics I would expect to see.  I'd also expect some "get through the area without getting hit" stages, such as the beforementioned hallways before Death or Frankenstein.

A castlevania stage with Dry Bones that can't be killed instead of Blood Skeletons and Boos instead of Medusa heads that fly from  behind you and stop if you turn and can't be killed if you're looking at them.

Then a Bowser boss that spits fireballs you have to jump over and instead of disappearing and reappearing he jumps off screen and slams down in random areas really fast sort of like how he acts in Super Mario Bros 3.

Sub weapons are Fire Flower instead of Dagger, and Hammer instead of Axe and your weapon is a chain chomp instead of the Vampire Killer.

Beat Dracula with leather whip without taking damage
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow sucks
DmC: Devil may Cry is the equivalent of trailer trash
"badly designed fat left on Lords of Shadow 2's bones."

Beat Dracula with leather whip without taking damage

I'm not entirely sure how they'd remix it though... :-/

- Beat a Contra level with Simon?
- Beat a CV level with Bill from Contra?
- LoZ 2 Link in CV (Or visa-versa...those might be cool!)
- Survive a Zombie/Wraith onslought as Mario (maybe you couldn't stomp them and just had to dodge?  Though, stomp graphics for Mario in CV sound awesome to me!)

I dunno...mixes just seem harder to come up with, or like they just don't work well. :-S
