Topic: (Rumor) E3 Leak; Castlevania is there.

Don't ask me how I got it, or from who I got it. I also have no idea if this is fake. It was basically "Hey dude. Take a gander at this will ya? Also, ask no questions". I have no idea who this was, and I don't want to have.



This could be as fake as fake can be. I swear I didn't fabricate it (most of these games I have zero idea what they are), and I reverse searched the more "glaring" terms on Google, and found nothing.

Some of these games are *no* news, so this makes me think what the heck they'd be doing at the event. Makes me suspicious. Another point of interest is that for such a BIG thing, making it playable right there without any announcement whatsoever, no trailer, no nothing, it's very weird considering Castlevania HAS a hype going on.
I'm a bad detective. Could someone tell me if this is fake or not?

If this is true. Well, I'm really disappointed with Konami if this is a port from the PSX original, and even more disappointed if this is an original game and is being relegated to handhelds again.

HOWEVER, here goes my Wild Mass Guessing: This could be the final battle between Dracula and Julius Belmont. Only the hype for this title could live up to have "Symphony of the Night 2" as it's name. Even though it's lame.

I dunno, the name SotN2 in itself seems kinda dubious. Even without IGA on board, I think they'd still follow the model and go with a new "X of Y" if they're returning to the IGAverse.

Well, with IGA out, naming it like this could be just lack of creativity. Also, if it's real, it would be a very horrid way of dessecrating IGA'S tomb.

I don't really think they'd do it, create a sequel-reference inside another continuity. It'd be just ridiculously dumb. But then again, they agreed in making Trevor into Alucard, so they might not know what "dumb" means.
And about being pessimistic, I'm not pessimistic about Castlevania only. This whole document puts me in a foul mood. So many promises toying with our hearts. I also don't think Konami would birth another Castlevania in such a short time after LoS2 release.

This document arrived on my hands through an anonymous person with absolutelly zero knowledge about my taste for Castlevania (unless it is a friend of mine trying to troll me). They also mentioned that there is a "blurb" going on Twitter about this document. I found no blurb of it whatsoever.

I also though of this. What if IGA quit because they started developing SotN2 without him, and he took it as "So, if you don't want me here anymore, it's bye"? But something about it is really off to me. Konami made NO ANNOUNCEMENTS about it, not even a little hint. Nothing. Then, they decide to make it playable on E3, WTF?? We're like, one month away from the whole thing!

This thing screams "fake" for me, but my fiery fan side made me post it. I NEED to believe it.

But then I found five flaws in this list:

1: Mario Kart 8 comes out two weeks before E3, why would they have a recently released game on the show floor?

2. Where's The Last of Us Remastered?

3. Where's the recently announced Fatal Frame U, Pokemon Alpha Ruby and Omega Saphhire (Sorry I may have gotten those mixed up)

4. Where's the exclusive XBO Platinum Game that was hinted at by Neogaf's resident leaker, whose been on point about alot of leaks over the years?

5. Where's Project Beast/Beast Souls?

Bonus:Nintendo would never get this to leak out or else *throat cut *.

Going with the above post, I'm very skeptical of the legitimacy of the title of the game as well as the scan in question. Plus, even on the off chance that this could be true, it certainly feels as though Konami were trying to cash in on the first SoTN's success along with Alucard's popularity on just the title alone (assuming it's a sequel). Then there's the fact that since IGA is out of the picture they decided to go with his first and most successful Castlevania game.

Not that I'm complaining or anything because whatever gives us fans more of an incentive to support Castlevania, then by all means go ahead, but I would personally feel disappointed since they could've just gone with another remake/the 1999 game/or something else entirely. I'd still buy it anyway since it's not only a CV, but also on the 3DS.

Other than that, I won't hold my breath until June comes around.

BTW, anyone else think it could be that cancelled Alucard game from TGS 2008?

Yesss. This is actually pretty smart from Konami. It's so smart I doubt it's real.

It'd be weird if they did a Metroidvania since IGA seemed to imply the reason he left is because Konami didn't seem willing to do any more Metroidvanias. I dunno, maybe they saw the reaction he got when he left plus LoS2 flopping and decided to hedge their bets. I mean, IGA readily states that IGA=/= Castlevania or even Metroidvanias in general - I mean there was CotM and to a far lesser extent Order of Shadows. Anyways I doubt it's that Alucard game. It looked like that Alucard model they made was recycled into the Pachislot game.

However, if this indeed projected, I may just cave and buy a 3DS. Assuming it's side-scrolling metroidvania 2D-esque gameplay. I know I'm stuck in the past but damn those style of games still are my favorite.

It would seem strange to release a sequel 17 years after the first, especially since the story was rebooted.

Could it be a placeholder? Maybe it is a Castlevania game, maybe the infamous 1999 game, but that title is there to hide it for now.
