http://www.polygon.com/2014/8/19/6046809/resident-evil-revelations-2-xbox-360-capcom

Now, this crap appeared as a (poorly-made) hoax awhile back, alongside "Resident Evil 7: The War Ends Now". But recently it appeared again, but this time on a listing on Xbox.com.

Quote
Box art and a single screenshot of Biohazard Revelations 2 — the Resident Evil series is known as Biohazard in Japan — were discovered on Xbox.com by French site Gamer In A Box. Capcom has not officially announced a sequel to Resident Evil: Revelations, but the company did cite performance of the game as one of its financial highlights last year.

So, what do you all think? Bullshit or no? Might be pretty exciting, but what would they even do with a Revelations sequel? Follow-up on the story of Revelations would be pretty... odd, I guess, considering that's technically what Resident Evil 5 is. Maybe another self-contained story that won't reveal any revelations ironically, like the original, but instead just providing us with a pretty good story? Who knows?

EDIT: It was recently delisted, but this link from IGN has the images up. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/08/19/resident-evil-revelations-2-leaked

Not all that interested, since I found Revelations to be mediocre at best.

If it has playable Barry however... my interest may be piqued enough to try it.

I liked it for the original plot, plus the gameplay changes were great. To me, anyway. I liked the original plot, and it was pretty deep. The fact it jumped so much between characters kind of bugged me, and I particularly disliked Quint & Keith over the course of the game, and their first couple lines already made me realize I'd hate them.

"Awwww, I hate snow!"
"Snow hates you."

However, Keith kinda grew on me over time. So I didn't hate him by the end, nor did I dislike him. But I didn't particularly like him either. Quint, though, I just hated him completely.

Concept trailer released from Capcom. Coming early 2015.

So there's the confirmation. New RE game coming soon.

Kind of at a loss over why this is being made and the whole damn series isn't just starting over at square one.  RE6 was the Batman and Robin of the franchise.  Even if that hadn't been the case, Revelations was mediocre at best, and even then only on the 3DS.  Porting it to PS3 / 360 / PC just amplified all of the bad design choices.

It's a shame, too.  I really wanted to like a new, sort-of classic style RE game.
Braun is perhaps the world's leading expert in laser weaponry, and his presence in the Kavango means that the Soviet bloc is planning some sort of laser mission.

Claire confirmed as main protagonist.. Leak also confirms her partner is new character Moira Burton, daughter of Barry.

Claire being the lead is interesting.  I'd rather Capcom stop milking the "child of previous RE character mine as your partner" idea, though.

I really enjoyed the first one, since it was the closest to the old games from the new ones. RE 6, except from Leon's campaign, the rest of the game was like playing Call of Duty.

Honestly, I enjoyed Chris' campaign the most. It was honestly the most fun, and it had the least to complain about for me. Like, for example, there was WAAAAY too much running toward the screen in Jake's, and don't even get me started on the entirety of his chapter 2.

But yeah, I'm actually kinda hyped for this now. Not only is it the return of Claire (who is one of my favorite characters), but the fact that it's following up on the style introduced in Revelations really excites me.

Posted on the Resident Evil Facebook page. The game will come out as 4 downloadable episodes at $6 each, or you can just wait for a complete season that will come out both physically and digitally, containing all four episodes and some additional stuff.

I can't help but think that Capcom was answering to the recent Silent Hill demo release.

The trailer looks promising.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - TGS 2014 Prison Teaser Trailer

TGS "Prison Teaser" trailer. One fucking angle of the prison. Has some nice atmosphere, though.

read it doesn't have online co-op.  Does this mean they aren't adding Raid mode? or raid mode won't have online co-op?

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Gameplay Demo - TGS 2014

New gameplay video is out, looks pretty god damn awesome, and brings back the horror atmosphere. Sad news, though, Alyson Court is no longer voicing Claire. It sounds like Ali Hillis is doing her voice now. Honestly, though, I like it. The performance is sounding good so far. Plus, I really like Ali Hillis.
