I don't think any character has a more obvious move set than Simon. We really need to get people on board with this... if you have any friends that don't know who to vote for, make sure to nudge them in the right direction.

Simon has been my number one newcomer choice for quite some time. I wouldn't be surprised if he had both his barbarian and Chronicles looks. Barbarian with three alternate colors and Chronicles with three alternate colors. The colors could even reference other designs and Belmonts. Barbarian's green color being based on Haunted Castle, for example.

Definitely would buy a Simon Amiibo...if I could get my hands on it.  I was definitely gonna buy a few others too, but they sell out so dang quick anymore, and I just don't have the money to shell out the often outrageous prices online.

You can believe I'd be in GameStop (or wherever) every freakin' day though to try and ensure my purchase of one!

Did my duty and voted for Simon. Appealed to the nostalgia factor with Castlevania being a defining title for the NES. And the thought of a Simon Amiibo? I mean, daaaaamn I'd buy a couple.

Ok, for the sake of the series and this forum I personally pulled myself up out of bed and out of the old age home (for gamers over 40) and voted. Don't why I felt it necessary to leave the place I could have easily just stayed there. For that matter why am I telling you this especially when I could be watching Matlo..... um Murder She Wro.... uh Quincy yeah Quincy that's it. Or was it the Golden Girls? That Betty White, even Simon would have a problem with that tough old broad.

So Simon is running for office good for him.

I voted for Shovel Knight. Not that he would actually get put in but I believe that a new and fresh indie character would be nice to see. Though Bat Puncher would be interesting too.

The time has come, we need to get Simon into SSB! My ideas for a move set:

• A-attacks: all directional variations of his regular whip attack, holding A will let you rotate the whip and destroy projectiles
• B: Knife throw, hold for Axe throw
• Up-B: Whip grab from Super Castlevania IV
• Side-B: Cross boomerang
• Down-B: Holy water bottle throw
• Final smash: either Divine Storm, Grand Cross, or The Greatest Five

It would be cool if Simon's alternate colors were the different styles he's been over the years. Kind of like what they did with Bowser Jr. by making the other Koopa Kids his alternates.

Yeah any religious themes would be removed or altered in some way. Also I've also thought having all the Simon's as alts would be cool. One could be Belmont the barbarian, the other could be pretty boy Belmont, or even heck MoF Simon. Though if I had it my way it would just be Belmont with each alt being a different Belmont.

Simon Final Smash ideas:

1. A giant textbox appears reading "WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A CURSE"; The background turns darker, Monster Dance starts to play, and everyone takes triple damage from Simon and are slowed down for as long as the Final Smash lasts.

2. Simon throws Dracula's remains in the ground, making them burn. From inside the fire, Dracula's second from from CVI jumps out and starts spitting fire against the fighters and stomping on the stage, causing heaving knock-off and damage. (this idea came from another person from the FB group, in fact).

How is freaking bomberman higher than Simon!?

Ugh...that really does suck.  There's some comfort in the fact that it's only Reddit people...but with Belmont so low on the list, it really isn't much hope.

Is the poll still up?  Should we break the suggested rule and go vote some more?

Some of the characters on the list make no sense. Abraham Lincoln? Korra? Shrek? WTF? And please, enough with the fucking Mario characters. I realize that its the big N's mascot and I love the character, but there's way too many in each game. Cut it down to two or three. Same thing with Pokemon. I like obscure characters that are brought out like Little Mac, Duck Hunt, and Ice Climbers, but you use less character slots when you keep pulling from the same series.
