We don't need Konami for the next great Castlevania game anyways.

O.O

http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/

I take a few days off and this happens? I won't even bother saying that Konami had sold their soul to the devil because I don't feel the phrase will do justice.

Iga-sempai. I beg you, make your game as great as you can. My heart needs that band-aid.

Alright. Drama aside. I feel like Konami is the new Sega where their IPs are on life-support.

even if it's just cameos, i'm glad Alucard and Simon Belmont are still alive.  but i hope i don't have to wait until seeing them in action in a proper Castlevania game for as long as i've waited for Darkstalkers characters to appear in a proper Darkstalkers game.

Ahhh, I can see it now!

10 years down the road:

"Daddy, who's your favorite video game character?"
"Well Simon Belmont of course"
"You mean the whip guy from the Kingdom Dragonion series?"

That's assuming the game will be famous/infamous enough for the generation to recognize.

I don't think it will be famous worldwide since it is a Japanese mobile game for Japan and with a slew of mobile games there, I doubt that it will cut a huge slice of the market pie.

I really doubt Konami will do anything with Castlevania. Not at least until a couple of years have passed since the low blows that were the LoS2 sales. Konami seems to like sitting on dead franchises apparently.

I really hope something CV comes our way. I'm pumped for Iga's new game but I just like being an actual Belmont in a Castlevania game. I'm sure this new Iga game is going to look and feel like CV but my heart will know I'm not playing as my Belmont heroes. So, I hope the series isn't dead.
