Legends is great. It's always been my favorite game boy title. It is also by far the most playable. The other games feel like you're playing them under water which is horribly frustrating.

Legends didn't get flack until Iga screwed it over. A big part of why that continues is because some fans feel the need constantly rationalize and defend him.

Sonia needs a new game. She's a great character, even though she's basically ripped from vampire hunter D.
The worst monsters are human.

I have seen the film you are referencing and trust me, she is WAAAAAY better realized than the character she's based on.

Gods above that movie sucked.

Not that Bloodlust was any more cogent a plot, but it was at least a better film.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

Blasphemy.

People criticized Legends long before IGA did his official timeline.
