Never did buy a Wii U. I just don't see the relevance at this point. Perhaps if they had done more with it rather then making it an upgraded extension of the Wii, then I probably would have bought it. That, and I haven't seen any game for it that I'm overly interested in yet.
I feel ya there. I bought one last year (for cheap, it was like barely $200), and even at its discounted price, I regret the purchase. The only games I have that are worth a damn on it are Hyrule Warriors and Super Smash Bros, but even then the former gets pretty old (and that's saying something, considering I
looooove Warriors games), and Super Smash Bros really doesn't feel that different to me (mind you, I'm no competitive fighter).
Aside from that, though, all the titles worth buying are all first-party titles, with the occasional third-party exclusive. But Nintendo hardly EVER drops prices on their games, and when they do, I don't even care about the game anymore. I don't mind spending full price on a game every once in a while, but I'm not going to do it on every game for a particular system.
I really wish Nintendo would ditch their "our games never lose value" mentality, and actually started reasonably lowering the prices on their games after a while. I'd be more inclined to use the damn thing if they did. There's no reason games like Mario Kart Wii and Punchout should
still be $30.
