The only story I've written is one about Vegeta from dbz which crosses into themes found in Legend of Zelda. I plan to actually illustrate it someday (hopefully soon) possibly over Instagram with text accompanying.

The other writing I pursue is poetry and song lyrics. My genre is hip-hop, moreso like Nujabes stylings of music, or equivalent. The main theme is generally about relationships, love and I've delved into things such as alternative media. I tend to use a lot of metaphors and wordplay. I have also written tracks in memory of the deceased and recorded music at an amateur level.

Not so sure about that last line, it seems kind of clunky and inelegant

If you can go into more detail about this I'd be willing to look it over and I'll see if I can't flesh out the end of this first chapter a bit. But I'm glad you think it's something worth pursuing.

I have a sci-fi novel that I've been planning since I was about 15... Around ten years now, but wrote very little in practice. It's my magnum opus. The main plotline is this:
Around 25 years after the first inter-planetary war, which broke out between the new human nations several hundreds of years after they began colonizing space, UBCAS, a powerful security/intelligence/special police agency on a planet called Neo-Saturn is facing increasing difficulty in battling BreakThrough, an extensive organization responsible for fostering terrorism and organized crime on the planet, who is masking its illegal activities under the cover of a popular NGO. In the background, increasing socio-political tensions in the aftermath of the war is undermining the power of UBCAS, with more politicians arguing the agency is exceeding its authorities and obscuring massive violations of human rights.
The story deals mainly with the grey borders, beyond good and evil, and how much morality could be compromised in the battle against a greater evil.

Your story sound cool, The Sterling Archer.

@GuyStarwind

Hey, congratz for 1000!  :D

I, myself enjoy a good table-top RPG-ing every now and then. That and I have all these characters with their own stories written in my mind. I'm surprised I've not yet forgotten them since I started D&D back in Junior high.

Over the last couple weeks, I've been writing a web-comic that I upload chapters for daily (6-pages). It's called The Fate of Keisuke and parodies various tropes of anime. Despite being named after the character Keisuke, there actually is no main protagonist and the chapters focus on different characters each time (Keisuke himself first appeared in Chapter 1, but didn't make another appearance until Chapter 5). Unfortunately, I don't yet have a public site for people to view these at (which is a shame, being 12 chapters in). But I'm searching for a good one! (As you can see by the badly-made signature I have, the first volume is almost done. Once it is I'll be uploading the whole volume on Dropbox as a free download, so there's a shoddy way of reading it.)

It really isn't anything special, and I'm not saying that to put myself down, but rather to be honest. The comic is made in Manga Maker ComiPo, and all the characters were created in the program, so they don't look that special or anything. On top of that, the story for the particular chapter that is uploaded that day was written the same day it's posted. There are plans for occasional longer chapters, but these are only going to happen every so often. I plan for every 15th episode, but if I continue to do this for a long while, I might space them out more.

I actually have plans to do a shared comic universe, and make a much more serious, slice-of-life styled comic that will have longer chapters (standard 20-page length) and will be uploaded weekly. But that's gonna be a long while from now.

Ya know, I was actually pretty embarassed about this...like, "No one must know...", as a solitary tear rolls down my cheek embarrassed. But what the heck, since you guys have genitals of steel enough to post your works publicly I can link to my placeholding shame on fanfic.net.

Now, I call it placeholding for a few reasons - (A.) There's a lot I'm not happy about, but I wanted to get SOMETHING down so I could at least have some sort of inkling of where I was going with it when I came back for some polishing (the part about the M.C.'s eyes & hair is a DEFINITE placeholder, believe me...so trite & cliche, gah...). (B.) I cut a TON out of it since I wasn't sure what was just rambling about inconsequential details (I have OCD & tend to get lost in that stuff) and I wanted someone on fanfic.net to read the thing & give some sort of feedback. (C.) There are a few typos & I have just been too busy to correct them, but hey, that's small potatoes. (D.) This was hammered out in about 2 days during spring break of 2014 between writing an English midterm & wallowing in regret at my squandered youth, fueled by the looming blackhearted truth that I was turning 30 that year (s'okay, I'm at peace now).

Anyway, here's muh wordy-words.

Damn. It's as if your life was geared to prevent you from enjoying it. And I'm sure it's not fun either.

Nice work Laina! Left it on a bit of a cliffhanger too! Although we can alreadt guess whom the attacker is eh?  ;)

I did CV III story back in Junior high as part of a school project or something of the like. It was fully written out and printed off. My teacher even took out his lighter and gently burned the sides of the paper to make it look like parchment. Sadly the disk no-longer exists as it was one of those Mac floppies from the early 90's and they don't last very long. As for the physical copy, my Mom has it stashed somewhere.

After that one I started writing a story based on another favorite game; Super Metroid. This was not done on PC at all. It was all hand-printed with accompanying hand-drawn pictures from different parts of the game. I believe i still have this story buried somewhere in a folder. I'm just not sure where.

All in all I'd have to say the very first story that I actually wrote out as part of another school project (first year of Junior high) was aptly titled; How I got suckied into my super NES. Oh yes, the cheese in that title! LOL. The premise of the story was about developing a cooling synk for the SNES and it ended up with me inside of the system and in another awesome game; Contra III: The Alien Wars. Again this story was on disk. Even more-so it no-longer exists though I still remember parts of it.

Thank you! I appreciate any & all CONSTRUCTIVE feedback. I mention constructive with the emphasis because, as I'm sure you saw, the girl below you was more of a nitpicker than anything. We had a civil discussion about it over PM though & she apologized for coming off as condescending over my n00bzers fanfic.net faux pas.

Thank you as well, X. I definitely plan on coming back to this piece & getting you guys over that masterful "cliffhanger" I left there. ;3 I'll probably do it if I find myself with some free time this fall in Japan.

I'd really like to post the more fleshed out version someday as well. I give a more detailed description of Trevor & the Belmonts' past, Trevor's physical description (like that badass scar he got in Curse of Darkness) while not using something so cliche as my placeholding "ice blue eyes" & "raven locks" lines & all kinds of other stuff that I wasn't sure if it was superfluous or not & bordered on J.R.R Tolkien's descriptive ways (a.k.a. kinda overboard).

I'd really like to read your version of CVIII someday too! It'd be kind of a rough task, but if you could somehow transcribe that physical copy you say your mother has back into Word or something...lol

And hey, you're just building up potency in those nethers of yours. Kinda like not taking something out of the packaging untile the right time, ya know?

Just composed a new poem in like... 10 minutes flat. Not my best work, admittedly. Mostly just writing to write SOMETHING.
Ended up being a bit more personal than I had in mind.

Once I beheld an albatross
Circling overhead the boat I sailed in
Every single day in flight, never knowing rest
An eternal wanderer, forever moving, forever seeking
Never to rest until the day it died.

Say nothing of how I pitied the animal
Even though I knew we were kin in spirit
Albatross, Mariner of the Sky, I honor thee!

My own life has been boorish, lost, and empty
A marked similarity to that Albatross’ home skies
Reality has been lost in a mindless tangle.
I, too, seek the place of rest and plenty
Nevermind the endless bait and hooks of life
Every step I take is another wandering move.

Perhaps one day I shall find what I seek
And then, perhaps, shall I find my true rest
 Calm certainty overriding empty chaos
Inner peace at the end of a tumultuous road
Finding that place, that purpose for which I was born
In the parchment, in the ink, do I transcribe this desire
“Carry me, fair winds, to Journey’s End, with a setting sun o’er blue seas.”

How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

That's pretty good for something within ten minute of writing  :)

I started another story as well. The inspiration came to me while I was playing a Drow character in my modded Skyrim game. Then I thought 'Well, why not? I'd be far more original and not a work of fan fiction.' Keep in mind that this is the first chapter and it's still not finished, but it is long enough to give you an idea. Also there are some rather long-winded description within the frame of the chapter and it may seem a little rough or 'all over the place at once'.

Enjoy  ;D

I'm not author, but in my spare time, I LOVE penning screenplays for films that I can possibly put on YouTube. I have a quite a few stacked up, need to start shooting! Next project I want to start is a screenplay based on the details we have on the third Timothy Dalton Bond film, The Property of a Lady. In fact, I have a Castlevania 4 inspired film I want to get out by Halloween. Maybe I'll share if things turn out good :D
