Most of the post-SotN games have had lots of succubi floating around, but I think this is the only official example of an incubus in the series. Does he ever... do incubus stuff? Or is the fact he's an incubus completely insubstantial to the plot (i.e. he could easily be any other type of demon or a Shaft knock-off) and he was only designed in a hyper-idealized bishounen way to cater to the female fanbase?

The fact that he's an inccubus only becomes useful when he has to manipulate people through their dreams (and one of them is male. I should add, if I'm not mistaken).

This aside, he could be any other creature. He never does true "inccubus stuff."

Same here, though part of the appeal is that I really don't like most other Alucard pairings, including Alucard/Maria. :-/
