I have always wondered what Castlevania (the actual castle) is itself. Is it some kinda illusion that Dracula conjured or is it an actual castle that he created? Also is the castle itself where Dracula gets his true power or..?

Creature of Darkness, transient space and portal between the mortal realm and the underworld, manifestation of darkness built upon and fueled by the power of Chaos (the fundamental source of Dracula's power).

Also Castle Dracula + Transylvania = Castlevania

The castle is not an illusion. It's an actual building that has a spirit of itself (as evidenced in Aria of Sorrow) and is created from the power of chaos (as mentioned in Symphony of the Night).

The castle represents Dracula's magic. Dracula draws his power from the chaos in humankind's hearts, that flows through his castle and reaches him.

EDIT: pretty much what Zangetsu said.

Thanks, man. :)
Cuz a lot of us here are no longer teenagers.
I'm sure the older ones here could recall how bad this forum was way back then.

I was one of those who came on at that time, but fortunately was spared the bulls**t. I can't say the same for others though. I did read some of the threads and some of the members were picked clean down to their bones as if they violated Area 51's outer security field. It was completely unprofessional behavior. But now that we're a lot older, and with Jorge's rules in place, it's a better experience overall. A lot of other internet forums could take a lesson from this site, let me tell you.

There were some pretty big instances of drama and craziness I can remember--Snappleman getting banned, Kupomogli flipping out--but not as bad as I've seen at some other sites. And like other folks have said, this place has really calmed down quite a bit 8)
