I get that you're passionate about collecting games, because I am too. However they're not a necessity to live, anything old and vintage is going to cost you no matter what you're buying, and the poor sap should've researched what they were buying.

How do you feel about people who do the same with real estate hording properties, or even worse people in economic boom who just buy real estate and get mortgages which collapse when the economy takes a turn for the worst? or the greedy individuals who try to sell 'new apartments' at the price of housing? This drives up the price of property especially within short range of any cbd despite any economic crash. People that do shit like that piss me off way more than a collector who is trying to sell.
They aren't a necessity to live, they are a hobby and something to keep me busy in my off time, but I do look for deals when possible, trust me. I'm no fool, even if I want something bad, I won't get it if it's too high. I will however be patient and play the waiting game, it's gotten me lucky many times in the past. ;)

As for the poor saps, some are casuals who just want to jump in and get a quick piece of childhood for a little while, they don't care what they spend if it means they'll have it. They will then flip it again for more than what they bought it for continuing the domino effect.

Domino effect is a game. It's only a game if people are willing to play.
The differences with dominoes and real life is that the dominoes in the real world can fall either way. #realtalk

Trsut me, there are fools willing to play that game, no matter what the cost. It effects their pocket books either greatfully, or if they have enough money, barely.

A good example is Nintendoage forums, lots of price insanity goes on there, considered one reason why game prices have gone up like they have.

One thing I will say is that new nintendo games (developed by Nintendo) like LOZ are always retaining their initial pricepoint. Frankly that annoys me when youre coming into the market late because you want to buy a console for a handful of games. They end up costing more than the damn console and it's just not correct. Rarely do "Nintendo" games go on special and when they do, it's a solarcrescentbloodmoon1999eclipse  :-X

I've noticed it with the Wii, 1st party games even now still have not dropped in price and or value, and don't look to be doing so. Not so much because of the collector market, but Nintendo seems stubborn not to let them drop in price a full generation later. Let it go Nintendo, let it go, sell a few more copies before the vultures swoop in much later on and destroy that part of the market.

Nintendo is so fucking stupid with stuff in general. Don't get me wrong, they make fantastic games and I love the NES, SNES, GB line, and N64, but they always just do things backwards or do things that annoy consumers so much. Not to get off topic, but...

-What u just mentioned
-Issues with the Wii U
-Buying digital from them SUCKS
-They're so godamned stubborn

But still, if it wasn't for them, I would be a completely different person

Speaking about this, the PS2 is now beginning to get emulated on the PS4.

Thing is, Sony wants you to a pay money just to stream Achievement-Tweaked chunks of game, rather than be a cool dude and let you play your old PS2 disc on the PS4.
Say what you will about Wii-U, but you can pop in your Wii disc you bought, and play it on your Wii-U with no issues.

The PS4 wants you to pay to stream-download (Not own) games for a price, only to get some little picture trophy that's triggered when some memory address on the emulation is altered (100 enemies on Dark Cloud - here's a crappy achievement).

This... That's why I like Nintendo.

Sony in the ps3 era had good exclusive DLC games though.
Example the Marvel fighters: MVC2, MVC Origins which are no longer available due to Disney rights... So glad I bought them when I did.

Nintendo did BC from the beginning this generation and they're great for that. MS is trying to play catch up and Sony is trying to use MS's attention from it to drain more money from the consumers.

It's like BC on the PS3 slim models: hey, boy, put ur PS1 discs in, but NOT your PS2 games... Those u have to pay for. And then fanboys are saying "They can't read the disc in the PS4"......... I guess the PS4 can't read DVDs then, as these fanboys are watching a DVD of polygon man commercials.

Sony has no excuse. They can easily let people use their PS2 discs in the console, but there's no money milking in that. Ms is letting u use discs, which is FUCKING great, but they can't do all titles at once, and most titles they won't even bother with, which sucks but at least no rebuying. Nintendo wins, tho, by having 100% BC from the start using discs.

It will be interesting to see the actual purpose of the universal "Nintendo Account" they've introduced.
Apparently it tracks download/ purchase history. One would therefore assume if it is a game available on multiple platforms that you can download multiple times without making multiple payments. I have, however, yet to see this confirmed in writing.

I heard they did this. If they did, they finally caught up to the rest of the digital age. It was so shitty in the past where, say your system broke, you'd have to rebuy ALL of your digital purchases. That's what held some people off from doing digital business with Nintendo in the past.

But I have a ton of rare games on virtual console for Wii U, so if Nintendo lets me download those games to the NX or even 3DS later then that would be fucking awesome!

True that. but I also don't know if this is just moving forward for games already purchased or whether you can download across multiple platforms.
As you say it seems to be a way of re-downloading to new system to the same account. However, to do with the latter it's baffling me that in this day and age they haven't made it a point to confirm cross-platform capability.
