And I'd really like if Konami didn't even THINK about issuing a cease and desist to any of the fans creating fangames. They should be happy people are still giving damn about Castlevania at all, because if it depended on them, it'd be deader than Dracula after 1999.
Konami wouldn't care about fan games, hell, they don't care about people selling CV1 hacks on NES carts. The only idiots who would do something that shitty is Nintendo, who has done that. They don't even care about Bloodstained, which is Iga's next CV in all but name.
And it's so shitty that corporations operate on a level the way they do. Morally they should love their IPs getting attention, but they're so focused on money because it's a business, hence, Erotic Violence and dropping the AAA game plan to move to mobile. They just don't understand that the mobile business model will bite them in the ass because casual consumers who download and buy DLC for these f2p shit piles only buy the ones that you see commercials for or the lucky successes like Flappy Bird and Angry Birds. They don't give a shit about CV, Contra, Bomberman, Sunset Riders, MGS, Gradius, or ANY franchise Konami owns (except for PES lol).
I think the gaming devision of Konami will close down soon, selling it's IPs, while the gambling scene of the company continues strong. It's sad but thats the problem with Japanese game devs like Sega and Nintendo: They're behind, still think it's the 90s, and do things involving modern day that they don't understand (Nintendo's YouTube bullshit, Sega's milking of Sonic (like other games like CoD and AC), and Konami moving to mobile). Japanese gaming companies just don't move with the times or do move with the times incorrectly. Rant done.
