Correct me if I am wrong, but a CD-ROM is 700MB, the largest NDS cartridge is 2Gbit = 2000Mbit = 2000/8MB = 250MB (256MB if you say the G is not G, but Gi).

Tell me again how 250MB is more than 700MB?

Serio once told me that a DS cart can hold up to 4G, the same as a DVD.
If I forgot "everything I knew about Castlevania" I certainly wouldn't be excited about a new one coming out now would I?

I think you completely misunderstood whatever it was Serio tried to tell you because a ds cart is no where near 4G.  In fact, its almost 10-20 times smaller.

I rifled back through my old posts, and he said (and I'm not putting Serio on the spot here, more citing him as someone who seems to know more about the technical side of things than I do) that you could put about 4 gb, almost as much as a DVD, on a DS cart; or, at least, that's how much was on his DS m3.

If I forgot "everything I knew about Castlevania" I certainly wouldn't be excited about a new one coming out now would I?

So far from a couple sites that Ive looked at. The highest is 4Gb which is really 512MB. I know they are making a 16Gb cart which ends up being a total of 2GB of space.

Quote from: wikipedia.org
Nintendo DS games use a proprietary solid state ROM game card format resembling the memory cards used in other portable electronic devices such as digital cameras. It currently supports cards up to 2 gigabit (2048 Mb or 256 MB) in size (with ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat being the first DS game to use a 2 gigabit card),[21][22] which is four times the amount of memory that the largest Nintendo 64 cartridge was able to store (512 Mb or 64 MB). The cards always have a small amount of flash memory or an EEPROM to save user data such as game progress or high scores. The game cards are 33.0 mm

It fits for some characters... but sometimes she takes it to far, best examples being Juste and Maxim.

Dammit, every time I open my mouth when it comes to technical crap I get schooled. All apologies to Serio; I've probably misrepresented what you told me and my ignorance on the subject shouldn't reflect on anybody but me.

If I forgot "everything I knew about Castlevania" I certainly wouldn't be excited about a new one coming out now would I?

I'm glad you brought it up. I learned something new, too.
