Probably translations. Remember, they gotta translate stuff into Spanish, German, French, and all kinds of Europppean languages. It might take some time, prunyuu~~

this is gunlord's catchphrase, like "noo puroburemu lol" or so. he pretends he's a little anime animal. :o

i dunno if translations are the only thing that delays the games. dos wasn't really delayed, on the contrary, it came out few days before usa while pork came out half year after.

it's probably some stupid decision like "them european gamers don't need so much games for now, push this game back half year" or maybe dos failed financially, so they pushed pork back a lot because they knew it'll fail too, and wanted the big hitters out first.

Agreed, the DS boxes are better (thicker, more solid) and my European Castlevania and Phoenix Wright booklets are in colour, where as my US ones aren't.

On the other hand no way I'm gonna wait until 2009 if it's relased fall of this year in the US.

Even if you're an exercise instructor living on a diet of bacon cheeseburgers and coke will make you a very sick, unhealthy person.

well yeah if you don't eat anything else you get vitamin diffecencies and you'll get diarrhea from all the grease. I was talking about fatty foods in general not just eating one fatty thing all the time.

Trans Fatty Acids have been likened to the negative health impact of tobacco. And short of legislation prohibiting its use, food comapanies ARE making a strong effort to eliminate them from their products and to find alternatives.

Nabisco's Oreos were listed as one of the main suspects where Trans Fat is concerned; especially because of the obvious marketing towards children.

I actually haven't eaten Oreos in awhile, and am not sure whether they haven't changed this fact or not.

There's a reason you now see "0 Trans Fat" labels on the front of popular processed foods these days.

Uh....

So..

Yeah...

That Shanoa sure is a cutie. :D

I really hope the final translation ends up being Chanoix because A) it's French and fits the European theme of Castlevania better and B) Shanoa is a dumb, awkward name.  :(

Shanoa sounds like some 08/15 fantasy-barbarian-girl.

Besides: Does anyone know these oreos covered in white chocolate? Eat one of them and be full. And you'll still eat them all. But they are sooo expensive over here. T_T

Oreos. Liebe. <3 T_T

And, hey, I'm no fatty, ok?

It's just a name -- who cares.

Even today family names are made up for no particular reason, and have potential staying power.

Who cares whether history dictates whether Shanoa was a common or exisiting name. You weren't there personally in the 19th century, how can you say for sure such names weren't attempted?

Moreover, in a world where magic orders rise up to quell the undead armies of a reigning vampire, who the fuck cares about historic accuracy anymore?

Castlevania has only very loosley attempted to stay faithful to the eras it takes place in. It goes through the motions but thankfully it has enough balls to do its own thing with the material. That underlying quirk is partly its charm.

It's just a name. Maybe you should be complaining about ice cream cones and ramen noodles breaking the time barrier first ;)

If the game is fun, screw historical accuracy.
