it's kinda hard to record videos from a ds, and all the emulators still suck badly.

they have no video recording options, and they run very slowly, are unstable (crash a lot) and often have many graphical/sound glitches, so capturing the video with an external program also won't help, at least until the emulators can get a stable 60 fps.

too good. no emulator is able to output it like this yet, with full speed, correct colors, no stuttering sound and without glitched sprites.

the best one out there and only one which has stuff remotely playable is no$gba, but it forces dithering and blue tint on the screen, not to mention the 3d engine based games such as the cv titles are very choppy even on quad core cpus.

it might be done using a devkit or something.

maybe they somehow get a good tripod and camera close to the
screen?

but ya something like this:

wouldn't work because holding it would cause the screen
to wobble all over the place.

but something stationary like this:

is extremely well done and still pretty clear. :)

The only emulator good enough to do NDS roms perfectly is Nintendo's own.  To get one, you have to be a developer, and when you're in that position, you're not using it to play games you're not involved in making.

yeah but this isn't about emulation.   a speedrun could
be easily made off the DS, you just need a good camera,
good tripod, unlit room, and good stand/object that holds the DS tightly so the screen doesn't move (as displayed by the last video posted.)
