You know, the new Eric Lecarde reminds me a lot of the young Malus now.

That information about Eric is actually pretty cool.  Never knew he was a relative of the Belmonts. (Or maybe I wasn't paying attention.  :P ) I like the background for him.  As for Shanoa, that's one of the things I'm looking foward to, seeing who she really is.

That does explain how he does knows the ritual to unlock the full power to the Vampire Killer to the Morris family.

After those new details on Eric, I felt compelled to revamp Eric's history at the Castlevania wiki.

Yeah, I kinda had a theory similar to that when I read that. What if the Belmonts ARE gone. Like, for instance, Saint Germain appears to pull Richter, or his son(let's say it's Julius) out of time to train for the final battle. If that's the case, I see the whole Dragon Ball Z-esque "timeless battle training" where they'd train in a realm where time flows differently than that of the world, hence might be away for over 100 years, but have the training of a millenium.  :o

Thats history for Eric is very nice, didn't know he was related to the Belmonts though. Just makes him that much more awesome. Good call by Alucard as well. =P

If for nothing else, I'm glad this game exist just to give us some interesting (and unknown) backstories on the characters.

Mr. P had a theory that Eric was related to the Belmonts via the theory that he was a descendant of Alucard and Maria Renard, who had Belmont blood in her.

Yeah, I wonder what interesting backstory they will give to Cornell.

I have a confession to make:

I prefer Shanoa's Judgement design.  :(

Everyone else is still ridiculously terrible and out of character, though.

wow, we still haven't gotten any explanation of why these characters are all fighting each other.  all we know is that there's this guy Aeon who manipulates time and probably caused them all to come together in one time period.  but why are they fighting?  have they been given a good reason to fight each other and are compelled by their own reasons?  are they playing a game of "let's see who's the strongest and then have that person go after Dracula"?  has Aeon done something to make them unnaturally want to fight each other?  did Aeon say "if you don't brutally attack each other, I'm gonna destroy the world"?  is this a "tournament"?  are they just training?  are they all gonna have a different reason for every fight like in SNK vs. Capcom 2?  I could just see a dialog between Simon and Trevor where Simon says "You suck because you had to have help defeating Dracula" and Trevor yells back "well at least I HAVE friends you freak!" and then they start fighting.
