I think all the characters have different reasons because they all have their own story mode.

someone on the GameFAQs forum (can't find the post now..) said that the Order of Ecclesia strategy guide contains some bonus content for Judgment, including some character bios.  i'll be sure to get the guide tomorrow if i can and even though i'll "try" not to look at the Ecclesia content, i'll pore over the Judgment content.

They have Trevor in it.  He actually doesn't look that bad. Actually...it's the only design I've really liked so far.  He actually looks like he'll beat the shit out of you.  And according to the profile he's got a huge scar and now a missing eye thanks to his battle with Dracula. (He's got a patch.)

Aeon is apparently part of a group of 'watches' and according this profile, Galamoth is trying to overthrow Dracula by erasing the time period where he became Dracula, so he's stepping in to stop him.  I'm scanning the guide as we speak.

So, Aeon is actually a good guy? The trailers and stuff made him seem like he was a bad guy. I wonder if Saint Germain is also a part of the same group Aeon is in.
