LoL.. that doesn't count. That's like Nintendo Power giving Smash Bros. Brawl a 10/10.

As for what you said about it trying to be mainstream..

You might be right. But whats wrong with that? Being in the fighting game community for a long time, I know that most fighting game fans look down on Mortal Kombat because it isn't a "real fighter" due to the fact that it doesn't have super moves, super jumps, dashes, guards, tactical rolls, etc etc etc.

So whats wrong with them trying to step it up a bit? Would you rather they just put out MK games with the same old mechanics, as if they are totally oblivious to what fighting game fans expect today?

(And now, directed once again to nobody in particular..)

Anyone crying that a crossover like this is a bad idea..ok..

I didn't see anyone complaining when Marvel Vs Capcom came out.

Just give this game a chance! I know you all think DC comics is lame, I know you all think Mortal Kombat isn't cool anymore...but jeez..if a game like Street Fighter IV is all hyped up despite the fact that its just Street Fighter II with cel shading and a few new unoriginal characters, then why can't you guys give this game a chance?

Put aside your pride..your inner fanboy-ism, and try to look on the bright side.

Yes, even DC characters have fatalities.
More than likely this will be dubbed M rated.

Don't believe me?

CONS (IMO)
-(So far) No Watchmen or V (for Vendetta).
Neither Watchmen nor V would show up in this because they're not from the main DC Franchise. They're Vertigo comics, as are the Fables comics and Wanted. It would make as much sense putting them in the game as Disney releasing an attraction for a Touchstone movie at their theme park.

This is just an attempt for Mortal Kombat to be relevant in the mainstream as it once was 10 years ago.

Personally, I don't see this game winning any awards or anything.

And here I thought they just wanted to do something to match up with marvel vs. capcom. MvC was brilliant. this is just headache-inducing.

Eh, this game looks fun to me. I'd have prefered a Midway vs. Konami game myself, though...
