When I read the first post, I knew I couldn't take this thread seriously.

Although it's a new take on weapons, it's really just an excuse to introduce fake difficulty to the system.

It's not like I want him to die or anything, but he doesn't have to act so condescending to people that praise PoR.

I don't like PoR that much either but good lord, the game wasn't that bad. (Honestly, once I skipped the conversations, I was pretty much good to go.  )

As far as this game goes, I actually don't doubt that it will  be the better of the DS titles. Now best CV game? No: that (ONLY IMHO) is reserved for CV3. 

Dracula does not appear as a villian, much less the arch-villian.

Wait...what?  I could have sworn he was suppose to be the only returning character.  What the heck was the point of him even having a VA in the trailer, more so what he says at the end of it. (You know, as if you I dunno: are about to fight him?) That interest (but baffles) me.

I didn't dislike PoR because of the art style. I don't care about such things, I was just appalled how boring and generic the levels were. But if you really thought PoR felt like a new and fresh entry in the series, good for you! I know I didn't.

And for the record, I actually liked DoS. But the formula was already beginning to feel stale. And PoR was merely a poor (or should I say PooR?) reproduction with worse level design and terrible fetch quests. Apart from that, it's a decent platformer but a below average Castlevania game. In my humble opinion.

In the end, it hasn't much to do with the actual quality of the games, but I can only buy the same game so many times, regardless of how great it once was.

I shall continue to bitch about these things, cause they matter to me. And all I initially wanted to say was that I don't believe OoE will turn out to be the BEST CASTLEVANIA EVAH. Which is what this topic is all about.

it's not just my opinion. the majority of the active users on this forum considers portrait to be a mediocre game, and nothing special. definitely not the best cv game, since even dos outdoes it.

also, at least i'm not some random noob who thinks he can just barge into a forum and act all high and mighty as if he owned the place 10 minutes after his arrival. especially when he wasn't even a part of the conversation, and joined it only to start a flamewar, without having anything to contribute to the thread.

You like to call me n00b because I haven't been around long. Do you feel special because you have more posts than me? Good for you. I hope that helps you compensate for something else you lack. 
This is a message board; expect people to comment on whatever gets posted. If you need to have a private conversation, use PM or something.

Besides, you still haven't given a good explanation as to why you feel obligated to chastise people who like PoR, and I don't really expect one. Thanks for the fun banter and I hope you get over it some day.

Yeah, people tend to be a bit more opinionated about the things they like/dislike, here.

Take it with a grain of salt.  There's no need to get worked up about it, and certainly no need to insert your own attacks back.  That will not help.
