I found a youtube video that said that it is rumored that the title for this "Castlevania: Signs of the Last Age".  I don't know where that rumor came from.  Also said it would be coming late 2009, don't know where that came from either.

well since Alucard is evil, Maria Renard should be the main character for this.  but yeah depends how long after SOTN it takes place.  :P

If this turns into another CoD or MetroidVania, I'm going to have a bad case of Castleroids...

(IGA reportedly said he didn't think Konami would announce this so soon. I have a feeling it's MORE than a year away from being released. If IGA can't get 3D right this time, I think the outstanding 3D Castlevania many have been waiting for may never happen).

Shaft isn't still alive.  He died in RoB.  In SotN, he is a ghost.

Alucard, Maria, Richter, Cyril, and Alexis are all potentially playable characters in this game.  Not a bad roster.  Plus, we haven't seen any Belnades/Aulin/Fernandez family members yet in this time period, so I'm wondering what they're up to.
