but simon broke his own curse by himself, while feeling it's effects.

Exactly (ultimate Badassness right there). And he holds out for 7 days against draculas Godly power.

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to agree that Richter would be the weakest of them. He got fucked up bad by Shaft, and true, Simon got cursed but at least he broke it himself. Richter on the other hand had to be saved, by Alucard. I just don't think there's anything ''special'' about him. And it doesn't matter he saved a lot of ladies, because in the end each and every Belmont saved the whole damn world and every human being living in it.

Personally I'm gonna vote for Simon, for the same reasons everyone else has. He fought Dracula twice and he broke his own curse. Not to mention he looks totally badass in his Chronicles remake design. I don't really see why so many people disaproves of it. His design fit in much better in the Castlevania world compared to the old-dumbnut-rock-eating-wife-beating-crapping-in-a-hole-in-a-cave-brute-warrior. And even if the new Simon look kinda femenine he at least doesn't look like a homosapiens.

EDIT
Oh sorry, I was going for "neanderthal" there XDD

no...that's just plain bad, and the ass who thought of that should be ashamed of themselves...

maybe for what it's become, but when the series started, the caveman look worked, quite well for over a decade too.

ah, so you admit he doesn't even look human like that.

Trevor rules.

I have to admit though, the first time I saw this clip I laughed my a** off at what Simon does.  :D  Poor thing, Trevor scared him senseless. ;)

I'm going to vote for Richter 8)

He is the first to use item crashes which would blow any other Belmont away and has the power to unleash a fiery strike of his whip without the help of a sub-weapon. That and he has the coolest sprite out of any character.

I voted Simon, mostly because he's the original and IMO the best.  But its not a popularity contest, so...

He gets my vote because he was the only one on the list who took down Dracula at full power on his own.  Trevor and Richter got help, and we don't really know how much help Julius got, if any, so we can't really call that one.  Simon had no friends or tag-alongs, he went it alone... twice.

Even thogh Trevor got help. I'd still think the Dracula he fought wouldve been the strongest. I mean, all the other times, Dracula more or less just rose back from his grave. For Trevor, Dracula's been going strong for 300 years. He also broke 3 curses along the way.
