Yeah I like Sonia... but I wouldn't say she's the strongest.

She deserves to be underappreciated. There's nothing good about her.

give her a completely new game set in a different time period that's post trevor, scrap all the ideas legends had and invent new ones, and don't involve time traveling or alucard either and maybe something will work out of that. :o

Yeah, that's what should happen.  Maybe, instead of being a Belmont in the past, she could be one in the future perhaps a decendent of Julius keeping an eye out to make sure a new dark lord doesn't come to power and if so to defend humanity along side Alucard, assuming he doesn't become the dark lord himself.
Behold my power and tremble

Aha! She'll become the first one to fight against Dracula-Soma! Post Julius, that is.

but for the love of god, keep her away from al. it's stupid enough that some people still believe the belmonts betrayed their lineage and basically mixed it with the one of the very guy their ancestor sworn to kill and condemned his entire family to do so for the rest of eternity.

tl;dr no alucard x sonia and vampire dracula descentant belmonts plz

I still don't think it's that farfetched.  We already got time-traveling Germaine, many many other bloodlines, etc.

It wouldn't be any weirder, despite your heavy opinion on the contrary.

Actually, if Sonia's bloodline was moved up after Richter's, it could explain why none of the Belmonts could use the Whip again until Julius. Sara doesn't like having Girlycard's descendants using her.

The only thing wrong with Sonia's story is that it wasn't a very good origin for anything.  Other than that it fit into the timeline fine until Iga decided to make Lisa and Alucard so young.

It also never says Alucard was her child's father.

I'm not a huge fan of Legends, but I don't find it any worse than the other two gameboy games.  I'm also a big fan of continuity and find it annoying that Legends is the only game Iga is apparently not willing to work with.

Honestly, I never thought Legends was ever meant to be an origin story to begin with...

I have no problem with a female Belmont, I have no problem with Sonia being Trevor's mother. I do have a problem with her being the first to defeat Dracula, cause Trevor is the first, and I don't want my Belmont's having the blood of vampires, especially the one they're out to kill
What a horrible night to have a curse!
