Guys, do you realize that the castle doesn't comes into the game until about the 12th hour? Just like ecclesia, the best "dark" part of the game is kept until the end, and of course, under wraps...
That's because you must kill the three LOS before the "Dark Lord" whoever he is, would become powerful enough to embrace the whole land in pitch black darkness

Edit: Did someone call LEGACY OF DARKNESS' DEATH?

Game looks incredible.

Did anyone else notice that it looks like the Japanese LE version will have a couple of different bonus items?

If the Euro LE version is real, that means picking up three copies of this game to get everything.  That sucks :(

I can't tell where this area takes place but it looks like some kind of division of hell. The trailer showed it off a lot, so this area obviously has great importance to the story. We also see the hooded figure with the Mask in his hand in the same area.

Maybe this is an important event that occurs halfway through the game?

It kind of reminds me of the true final battle with Dracula at the end of CV64, where you are in that wasteland.
The dream reveals the reality, which conception lags behind. That is the horror of life - the terror of art.

To be honest, I LOVED that battle.  CV64/LoD Giant Dragon! :D
It summons Salamander's Dragons, too! :D
And Nukes you! XD

But yeah, it also reminds me of "The Abyss", like where you fight Abaddon.

I've seen a lot of people and a handful of websites referring to the Necromancer as Death. Why? Has there been any official statement?

I seem to remember Cox stating on muliple occasions that the characters were separate.

There's so much speculation going on..

I'm going to break this game to pieces. I'll have LoS completed in 2 days, maybe less.

I'm kind of waiting for him to come back to these forums and give us a confirmation, I think Necro is a disciple of the real Death or something. If he is Death, I'm ok with it.

This game will probably take me a few days, maybe 2-3 to to beat if it's 20+ hours long, and if I actually feel like exploring the levels for extras and other things. Which I probably will.

I will get strategy guide for this game to beat hopefully in one day or two.
But its most likely going to be 3 or 4 since I have classes to take.

I don't see the point in waiting years for something, only to try to go through it as fast as humanly possible. I plan on taking my time, going back for every hidden item and secret, reading all the lore entries, etc. The road getting there to me is more fun than the bittersweet conclusion.  ;D

You know I just had a thought.

What if the castle we've seen isn't the real castle? What if there's more? I feel like we haven't even seen half the game yet.

I can understand how some people wanna rush it, but I agree with you. I remember during the SNES, particularly with Final Fantasy III(VI), I basically took half a year to pass it, and playing it little by little, stretching it out(of course, I was in school, had homework and such), finally passing it felt SOOOOO satisfying. Even today, I try not to play games in one shot. I'm playing New Super Mario Wii as of recent, and been playing bits each day(like to a save spot each day, and there's two save points in each world. I'm at world 8(saved after beating Kamek), meaning I've been playing for near three weeks, which is including the days I was too busy to play at all). I love playing games like that!! Savor the experience! :)
