I've seen a lot of people and a handful of websites referring to the Necromancer as Death. Why? Has there been any official statement?

I seem to remember Cox stating on muliple occasions that the characters were separate.

I don't believe that Death is a necromancer, nor do I believe that he has a student who's being taught necromancy by him. Death is just that; Death. The grim reaper who harvests the dead. To make him anything more or anything else would mean he's no longer Death, but someone else entirely.

I'll probably take at least 3 weeks to beat this game. I'm always impressed how people can finish a game these days in just a day or two. I mean, where do you get all that spare time?? I'm jealous. Though I honestly prefer to take my time. An hour a day is perfect for me, maybe two hours on a saturday if i'm lucky.

Kojima just showed off new footage and I MISSED IT. I was able to catch the last minute, he showed off a new boss fight. Looked awesome.

Yeah, it's Malphas.  They said so themselves.  I like how the fairies are incorporated in combat.  Kinda of a distraction so some enemies won't gang up on you at once.

Familiars are used? That's awesome! I didn't get to see them, tell me more! :D

It was during the fight against Sword Masters (Specter looking things).  The fairies came out like little green lights from his pocket.  It's kinda funny that the circle indicator wasn't present when Gabriel finished them off.  I also like the fact that they tried to electrify the surrounding puddle of water on the floor and Gabriel gets shocked when he steps on the water.

Where? I can't tell where the recordings are because of all the moon runes.

Fantastic level and boss fight, I'm loving all of this new footage. The attention to detail in that tower looked beautiful. :D

The use of familiars during battle is pretty great, and the enemies being able to interact with the environment like the Sword Masters electrifying the puddles is a great touch. In fact, I loved how the Sword Masters were introduced, that was pretty creepy and brilliant.

Platforming still looks really fun, I think I'm going to enjoy it a lot.

I'm used to having to QTE some enemies to finish them off at this point.

All in all still looking worth the wait.

I'm hoping this game feels equally fun on both platforms. I see the PS3 is being used for the presentation instead of the 360 version. I hope there aren't comfort issues when it comes to using the 360 pad opposed to using the dual shock.
