I may have to create a Euro account myself. I am pulling my hair out waiting for this blasted demo to come out.

it's bullshit that we have to sign up for a separate European account just to play a demo. WTF do they stand to lose by releasing it in all regions at once?

I can't wait to see how they handle the DLC, sheesh.

I completely agree with you, I don't know why they couldn't just release the demo everywhere at the same time.

DLC better have something like Gabriel in Simon's barbarian outfit, or that beta Simon David wants to show off.

It's called the 'Bureaucracy' of independent nations. since not all nations around the world have the same import laws, things like games and such are all released when it's most convenient. I, too think it's a load of S**T!

I wonder if advertisement in EU has been as lax?
Incidentally, I just had a look at the newest US game mags and LoS is nowhere to be seen. WTF!?
I'm starting to think the folks over @ Konami don't want to make money.

True, Konami has a sure hit on their hands and yet the general public outside of the internet don't even know it exist. Konami wanted this game to appeal to mainstream audience and make Castlevania a household name again on consoles, but how can you do that if your not even promoting the fucking game!?

And I knew this was gonna happen too, Konami has the worst marketing skills I've seen this gen outside of Sega and even they promoted the hell out of Bayonetta last year.

Konami is probably really poor or just really stupid. Their E3 conference spoke volumes about them even though it entertained the hell out of me.

Agh, don't even remind me about Konami's Press Conference. The most disappointing thing about E3. Rage.

Apparently all that talk of bringing CV to mainstream audiences is nonsense, since promotion is almost non-existant. It's never gonna sell big numbers like CoD or whatever no matter what, so they probably realized this at the last minute and cut all the funding on commercials & store promotions n shit. Not like it'll affect us anyway, but still.

I'll be surprised if it breaks a million units sold.

Well I was able to play the demo, and I enjoyed it for the most part.

Like already mentioned this game is tough, and I had a hard time with it. I had to retry the warg boss like 4 times but that was mostly because I was jumping around like mad while instead you have to hold your ground and just keep smashing him with an occasional dodge or quick time event. So yeah, it doesn't seem like mindless bashing a la Bayonetta or something.

I took me a while to kill off the boss, at least five minutes, and later on the another one showed up, this time as a regular enemy, and I once again took me a while to finally kill it off. I hope this doesn't happen often later on in the game otherwise fighting might became a real chore, especially if you die a lot.

Other then that there's nothing much to say about besides Patrick Stewart's pretty boring and extensive dialogue, - which can be summarized in a couple of sentences - and annoying help messages you can't skip.

edit: I also had a slight problem with the fixed camera angle. It makes it hard to see off-screen enemies which results in cheap hits. But yeah, all of this stuff has been mentioned before.

It got below an 8 because it isn't a generic first person shooter like halo, or cod. I thought you all knew this.

Another funny thing: Gamespot gave Lords of Shadow the exact same score as Harmony of Despair.  ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
harmony of despair is the game with the strange score
