More like vaguely connected adventures of Dracula before he was Dracula then suddenly, Dracula as Dracula. It would be apt as an origin story if it actually explained the origins of Dracula, instead of just hinting at what could've been the reasons for the reasons.

Well... In Cox's timeline, it really isn't even vampire killer. The stake attachment is called Vampire killer. All that's holy about the whip is that the chain links were dipped in Holy water during the forging process. That's about it. So Dracula Gabe can certainly use it.

That is if he actually has it by then. However, he still would be weak against it if used on him.

I don't think they would specify a certain part of a weapon that they never really got a good look at and nickname it anyway. That's kinda clunky-sounding.

Anyway it's still weird that in this timeline Dracula once wielded the VK. I'm sticking to my theory that Gabriel abandons it & becomes "Dracul," a new hero emerges & locates the weapon (or it's given to him by Rinaldo), calls himself Belmont after hearing legends of a "Belmont" saving the world from Satan, etc.

Also, the idea of somebody just naming themselves Belmont sounds... Dunno... bad.

I dont see why it cant just be a descendant of Gabriel himself. When you think about it, it is interesting. Dracula is the Belmont Clan's originator. All future Belmonts fight their fallen forefather.

Also means any Alucard that Shows up would pretty much be related to the Belmont Clan.


It's kind of like what Castlevania Legends almost did with the story if IGA didnt retcon it out. (Trevor almost became Dracula's grandson)

Alucard was never Alucard's real name. It was Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes.

And considering Gabe abandoned his name of Gabriel, then he is no longer a Belmont in Name. He has taken on his new name. Now, if he goes the mathias way and changes his full name to Vlad Tepes and shit, then we can have our Alucard pretty much like always was. a Tepes. (or in any case, just not a Belmont)
