I'm in the same boat, but I'm definitely more leaning towards waiting for Resurrection and skipping on Reverie.

The Time Travel is used to reach areas of the Castle that are destroyed in the present --Gabriel is still in the past when the Chapter ends.

The founders of the Brotherhood (Cornell, Carmilla and Zobek) fought a terrible demon named the Forgotten One, but were unable to defeat it. Instead, they combined their powers and managed to to banish it in some other dimensional portal thing. The castle from the first game was built on top of the original fortress where the Forgotten One was sealed away. Since the founders of the Brotherhood ascended to Heaven and became Lords of Shadows and Gabriel killed them, their powers have weakened the restraints on the Forgotten One so Laura implores Gabriel for help before the demon breaks free and consumes the world. Gabriel and Laura team up, explore the ruins beneath the castle and acquire the blood of all three founders, which is used to unlock the portal to where the Forgotten One is. However, Laura reveals to Gabriel that the dark energies of the portal will kill him and that he would be protected by drinking her blood. After he does so, she reveals that her blood will poison him and eventually kill him and that the only way for him to survive is to completely replace his blood with hers (and kill her in the process.) Gabriel does so and then steps through the portal. To be Continued... (in the next DLC I guess)

The plot just gets dumber and dumber. I am really not liking where this reboot is heading.

Eh, I thought it was alright. I liked that it moved the story along, at least. Yeah, it's starting to get convoluted plotwise, but I've seen worse from the series.

I'm kind of let down yet excited about the boss reveal. I don't want the boss fight to be the big climax to the second DLC pack, but I'm kind of happy about who the boss is.

The fact that they chose the Forgotten One kind of surprised me...I briefly thought about it when the speculation began, but never did I seriously think they would ever go that route. I figured they'd use a more popular enemy from the series. But I'm happy. The Forgotten One fight was my favorite part of LoI. Now...I'm just hoping they didn't make this a goddamn titan battle...

lame is right... i'll be writing a fanfiction and it will be awesome. i'll send it to david cox so he can be furiously jealous their WHOLE TEAM didn't think of it first.

one good thing though... the gameplay itself was beautiful (loved the puzzles!!) and robert carlyle was a most amazing narrator. i daresay... better than stewart. so much feeling!!! *swoon

Beat it last night. Not really a fan of the story decisions in it, but I loved how puzzle heavy it was. Laura was fun to play as too. Overall, it was a little disappointing. I wasn't expecting it to end so suddenly. The whole thing was rather anticlimactic. Definitely not worth 10 bucks. Resurrection better deliver.....

We should have known that. I mean the Forgotten One was the one imprisoned beneath the Bernhard Castle in LoI. But I hope he doesnt look like he did in LoI. If he looked more akin to Legion it would be awesome, but I highly doubt it

Just finished the DLC 100%, with all the trophies and everything. God, those last two stages were FANTASTIC. The 2nd stage in particular probably had the best platforming sections in the game, since they were quite hazardous. Laura was surprisingly fun to play as, what with her speedy, indefinate, and invincible mist-dodge and the lightning stream move you can do by holding down square. Also, sucking the blood out of ghouls is really, really awesome. Puzzles were top-notch.

The ending was pretty cool, wasn't expecting things to go down that way. Can't wait to see what happens next.

...also, beating the DLC opens up a new art gallery section that has stylized illustrations of the individual developers.
