This looks really good - I may have to get a 360 for this (and other games). Amazing voice actors (love Patrick Stewart's voice), and beautiful settings.
Interesting that they're going in a new direction. Seeing Dracula kept in the series would be nice, but then it'd still bring back ties to the old series, which seems like something they'll avoid if they really want a new image (it could end up with Dracula renamed but otherwise the same character). Plus I don't see them completely ditching the Vampire Killer track, though it has had many, many versions (it could be in the credits perhaps).
It might have been nice if they had given us 1999 in some form, a manga perhaps, to bring closure to the old canon, but is it worth adding a final touch to a series that's so unnecessarily confused? Maybe IGA will go home and write his own manga...
If they're separating from the established canon completely though, does that mean that the arcade game will also be adapted to deviate? The pachi-slot game can't because it has established characters. That's not an important game though, it could be canceled or something. The revamp is probably why the movie was scrapped, stopping IGA's world from randomly branching too far.
Overall I'm really happy with the new move. As long as Lords of Shadow has a killer soundtrack to go with its superb voice actors.
