I don't see a missing page in there  :-\
Edit: I see now, you didn't translate the "Marie" page  :P

Page 2:

...And there you have the three main pieces of CVLOS.
-A lot more than a chain

Whip combat is fundamental to the personality of Castlevania (People use to think that Cv copied GOW, but CV was around a lot of time before that, with chain whip and all) and it will be present here. However, this is not a game where you fight against an enemy until it dies and then go to ne next room, until the end of phase. The new combat system requires mor participation and skill from the player to take the right decisions, you have to block, attack, evade, move, choose the right strategy, the right weapon, modify it in the best way possible.
This is not an RPG, but we'll have a main weapon, a secondary weapon, all of them can be upgraded, and a combo list those can be purchased in exchange of EXP points. This, plus "Relics", that can be found through the stages and give upgrades to the character.
The combat system is not a button smasher, is very tactic and espectacular. This is the main reason why LOS will be liked by action fans. And of course, puzzles and platafforming, not present in the most of games of the genre.
However, the game is not an ever present homage to the saga, it seems to target the main audience. The main exigences have been, being a visual and technical landmark. The game will have a good amount of cinematic scenes (not near 50hours, but a good amount) used to tell Gabriel's tale of love in an ever changing story, minute by minute it's changing and twisting in unexpected events. According to Cox, the creepy atmosphere that envolves this Cv game is something that is not present in other games, a living world that makes everything more real.

This is not God of war

People use to compare CV to GOW, when this happens, Cox says that Cv is far more real. "It's not over the top, Gabriel is a powerful warrior but also has internal struggles, a dark side, a sad part inside of him. We've tried to show this through the game, we think we are more mature than God of War".
Comparisons are expected, because in each trailer show...

End of page :)

It will be nice to see how this plays.  While the stages were beautiful in LoI and CoD, it all seemed "pressed into the background".  Some of the background stuff that did interact with the character seemed kind of out of place and too deliberate (um, like the chairs in CoD).  It will be nice to see more interactions with the world, such as walking through a graveyard and walking around tombstones, walking through tall grass, candles that light up when you walk by, having unexpected things attack you (such as a creatures coming out of a painting you're walking by).  It would be nice to see the "barrier" between background and play area shattered a bit and the distinction between what is an enemy in a catalog that can be placed anywhere and something dangerous that is a part of the environment that harms you.  (course i still can't quite get over the whole camera angle thing that kind of ruins the effect for me, but we'll see)

Thank You guys for translation! :) Maybe there's not much new information but it's still quite interesting article.

That was what Cox said in the interview of the famous "spanish magazine". He said something about Kratos, so harsh, that the pulishers had to censor it :P

What could he possibly have said, I wonder? That Kratos is gray and generic?

Cool article, though. It sounds like the game has elements from both Metroid-style and old-style Castlevanias. I wonder how they'll handle the traditional subweapons, though.

Big thanks to R. Deckard and Ahasverus for translating!  This got me a little more pumped for the game, so it's served its purpose.

New interview! (Hype wave begins in 3..2..1...)
http://www.vg247.com/2010/02/22/interview-castlevania-lords-of-shadows-dave-cox/
So, old characters in there? Simon Belmont anyone? (SPECULATIVE SPOILERS: It's easy, make him Gabriel's son-little brother and put him on the way of the hunter when Gabriel dies at the end because he goes with Marie to heavens...)

It is very important to me that no version is inferior. If you develop for Xbox 360 and port to PS3, or indeed vice versa, you can end up with a game that is great on one but lousy on another.

So, old characters in there? Simon Belmont anyone?

Hm, it's has GOT to be Simon, or possibly Trevor. They're not using Soma, Shanoa, Jonathan or any of the characters from the newer games, that would be weird. Basically, those characters (and their respective games) are the reason why LoS is a reboot in the first place. Not that even Simon Belmont will be his old self in this game, but at least it would make sense to let him live on in a reboot. In some form or another.

Probably he's just referring to Dracula, Death and the common lesser enemies.

This is a great interview. I can't wait to see what the enemies look like. The only thing this interview was missing was a release date.
What a horrible night to have a curse!
