Afterall, THAT would clearly tie in the two timelines...
Yeah, as there weren't Cornell or Carmilla in there...
Theme of Simon was also in Portrait of Ruin as a Record to find. No Simon
Theme of Simon was used as a fanfare in Legacy of Darkness when Henry rescues the children. No Simon
Theme of Simon is hidden as an unused fanfare in Circle of the Moon. No Simon
Theme of Simon is at the end of Castlevania Bloodlines at the Keep before the Dracula battle. No Simon
Theme of Simon is used as the final fanfare in Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth. No Simon
I understand your point there, however, this is a full reboot, how will they explain to "newcomers" that there's a man called Simon around, whose theme is used as part of the soundtrack, and he's not related to any aspect of the game? That would be weird, awkward even. I mean, I'm not assuring Simon will be appearing in there, however, I see it as a great possibility, he's THE Belmont, the original, and Cox's favourite CV hero of course (and clearly that man is creating the game around what he likes the most) maybe he's Gabriel's son/little brother? (Of course I'm talking about a new Simon, not the old one from the 1600, a reimagining as the others). I'm almost sure that new versions of old Belmonts will appear in this new saga if it's succesful enough to spawn a franchise on its own.
/*COMPLETELY ESPECULATIVE SPOILERS, POSSIBLY UTTER CRAP*/
I Think that Gabriel's tale is narrated by Zobek, because Gabriel DIES at the end, so, no Gabriel, there must be a new Belmont, who's the right choice to begin the fight against darkness (I think that Gabriel's tale is only an "Origin tale")? Of course, the original hunter: Simon Belmont
