Am I the only one who actually liked Dawn more than Aria?

I did too, but I can never get the "I've been through this already in Aria" feeling to go away when I play, so I have really mixed feelings.

I didn't really like how they emphasized grinding more in order to get better. I mean, even the weapons were now connected to that system. So it was just grind, grind for me. I didn't find any of the areas as interesting as AoS's either, besides Lost Village. I think the level design was worse here as it started using enemy shelves (though I guess that only became more prominent in PoR~)

I reeeeeeeaally hope Cox doesn't read these boards.. I'd be totally embarrassed. It's almost like a kindergarden playground around here at times.

If you think different from me, very well, so tell us !
I believe I just did.

Everyone can have different points of view
True, but it doesn't make your view any less ignorant and uncalled for.

you're not the centre of the world
You have been misinformed.

oh Great Lord
Why thank you. It's about time I was properly addressed.

Why can't you be more like terrareus, the other new member. He seems pretty cool so far. Now get back to English class.

As for on topic stuff. I actually like Dawn's gameplay a lot better than Aria. It certainly has a more awesome Julius mode too. Everything seems improved, except the storyline and art style.

I liked AOS and thought it was one of the best IGA games, along side with OOE and LOI.
DOS felt like an updated AOS, but without memorable music and good levels.
Gameplay was solid, but ultimately boring. Music and levels were dull.
Boss battles were somewhat good, but I personally wasn't impressed.
Storyline and characters were horrible, though.
It was solid, but dull and overall unnecessary game.

I used to dislike Iga's productions from the beginning (Harmony of Dissonnance was a very bad entry for the saga in my view, just a little copy of SOTN without nothing new, the 2 castles etc etc.... and ugly musics.). Nobody can change this matter of fact

WTF....? Not to start any conflict but your logic is flawed. Practically every classic Castlevania except for 2 and the gameboy games were clones of the original. Some more so than others but still- your just being biased against IGA. There is no fact to your statement. I respect your opinion but to accuse IGA's series of doing something the classics have been doing just makes your argument hard to listen to.

But I am looking forward to LoS as well. It's nice to have a fresh change, but I would like to see future IGA games too.

Yeah I can agree here on some things. The areas in AoS were cooler I recall. AoS definitely had the better story too. DoS's was a terrible tack on plot.

Honestly, I would have liked a full fledged Julius mode, and have them leave Soma out of it.

Now that's a pretty good hands-on. I wonder how the secret items and etc will play out considering how linear the game seems. The whole idea of actually having locked skirmishes for some "purpose" seems like it'll add a lot of variety.

Kinda shaky on how often it says that the gameplay isn't that good.

Hmmmm... some of those comments are concerning, but I played through CoD so I don't think it may bother me as much in comparison. We'll have to see.

I'm personally not going to bother with the LoS demo. I'm just gonna go gusto with the full game.  :)

Fantastic review, it does sound like they walked away from the experience on a very positive note. They made a mention of plenty of platforming too, but the fixed camera angle causing some problems at times. I hope that doesn't get too annoying...

The environments they described sound breath taking and terrifying, I hope I get creeped out by some of the levels in this game.

Some of the things he said worry me... He did say that it's a great game though, so I don't believe I should be too concerned.
