Wouldn't it make more sense to have a demo out say, for a month or so before the official release?

Just seems a bit odd if they put out a demo at the end of Sept when the game comes out a week later...
This sums up my reaction to that

According to that NeoGAF post the same magazine gave the following games these scores:
Quote
Halo Reach: 86%
F1 2010: 88%
Mass Effect 2: 91%
Heavy Rain: 88%
Alan Wake: 82%
Mafia 2: 87%
Red Dead Redemption: 92%
God of War 3: 90%
So Castlevania ending up with an 83% is actually a VERY good sign coming from a harsh magazine.

I don't understand why they would review the game so soon. Most magazines wait until a week or a few days before release to keep things fresh. When I was reviewing games I remember having finished both Kingdom Hearts 2 and Suikoden 5 over a month before the official european release. My reviews were just sitting on my desk for 4-5 weeks before my editor even asked me about them.

But yeah, 83% is definitely a nice score.

Considering review copies have begun being sent out it makes sense for scores to start popping up 3 1/2 weeks away from release.

Yeah, I changed my mind a little. It all depends on when the magazine hits the store every month. It's better to be early than 3 weeks too late.

Hey I posted this a page ago.

Regardless, that a good score coming from a rather harsh magazine.

Printed magazines are given early review copies, they have to publish something new that web mags don't have after all :)
I thjnk the first reviews will be OXM's or OPSM's they almost always have it forst, and we know that PSM already had their copy like 1-and half weeks ago  ;)

That one review sounds pretty good, but I'm really worried about the camera angle thing. I hope the problems are small. If the camera craps out, that could be a big problem for me. Crappy camera angles, at least to me, could make or break enjoyment of a game(3Ds).

I'm more worried about framerate problems; bad camera placement? We've played that (Prince of Persia acroabtic sections, GOW...) but bad framerate? is an inmersion breaker IMO :(

I thought that was pretty clear in most of the screenshots.
