It's legit, he got it from a mom and pop store in Newark NJ and others on Gamefaqs confirmed them selling it.

Picked up the Guide this morning and had a chance to read through it. All I gotta say is...WOW! I will post any spoliers anyone may want (with big warnings of course  ), or feel free to PM me with any questions. That said, I will post the following GENERAL SEMI-SPOILERS:

- This game is HUGE. As if we couldn't tell from the vids, even just reading the guide you can feel the sheer scope/scale of the game and it looks like the biggest CV ever.
- The way the game is laid out, the CV2 and CV4 influences are very obvious. Cox sure wasn't lying when he said these two games were big inspirations.
- The Guide does a good job of not really spoiling the story. It gives a walkthrough obviously, and it indicates where the cutscenes are, but it does not say what happens in the cutscenes, nor does it describe the dialogue between the characters. Therefore the specifics of the story, including the ending, are not known.
- The majority of posts in this thread (mine included) speculating on who may or may not be in the game are wrong. In fact I only recall 1 or 2 posts from people who guessed right...

- Death...sort of. He isn't really mentioned by name, but there are 2 Necromancers, the 2nd of which is more powerful. He is basically your "Death" character. There are also Reapers, which look just like the traditional Death, but they are more like a semi-boss.

I think his corpse is just one of those "nods and references" to other games, as Cox kept saying we'd see. There are lots more of them too.

Your guess is as good as mine there. The Guide dosen't say what the DLC may contain. It shows what a few bonus/unlockables are though.

Would have been a wasted moment if the game didn't allow him to battle Gabriel.  I hope they put him in the DLC at least.  I just don't want him staring at Gabriel mockingly when he goes there.
