Finally, they were surprised that there was so much interest in this game given that it was 3D and not 2D, and are wondering why the fans didn't come out more strongly for Harmony of Despair like they are about LoS--especially since LoS doesn't fit in canon and wasn't made in Japan.
O_o
That is actually the most stupid thing I've read all year. WHAT are they talking about? Castlevania gets a
big budget reboot in 3D, and we're not supposed to care? LoS is one of the most drastic things that has happened to the saga in years, and IGN is surprised we're keeping a close eye on it? We're only supposed to care about recycled sprites? Why would we "come out more strongly" for a game that isn't even that good? Just because it's made in Japan? Where on earth did they come to this conclusion? They know absolutely nothing about the Castlevania fanbase, or any other fanbase for matter. This is just plain ignorant. In order to call yourself a video game journalist, you should know the in's and out's of not only the games you're reviewing, but the industry as a whole including the gamers. These people are also their readers. I bet they're too ignorant to even know who's reading their site. And it's not just Castlevania. IGN has done this many times in the past.
