Did you understand the part where I said I did NOT post negative remarks just to be "outside of the majority" guy?

I apologize. I misread that.

I have problems with the Classicvanias on a very core level, right down the basic play mechanics of the game. They are not "really minor things". Lords of Shadow is a bit different.

Perhaps, but you're still throwing around the word "good" as if you're opinion is law and everyone else is just dumb. Just like I could complain that I think Symphony of the Night is "bad" because I don't like how brokenly easy the game gets in the second half. Doesn't stop other people from liking it, despite my protests.

What the fuck, do I need to sit next to you while you're playing the game and point out the graphical errors or dropped framerate and shit? Whether you choose to ignore them, or hell you don't even notice them, whatever. THEY ARE THERE, and there's no getting around that.

I never even said this was a huge deal or a big gamebreaker, but I call it like I see it.

When you gripe about a tiny issue like no anti-aliasing then right after start saying how, objectively, Lords of Shadow is not good, it sounds like you're saying that Lords of Shadow is not "good" because of the lack of anti-aliasing.
But it's irrelevant because it's all opinion. I don't see the lack of anti-aliasing as a problem, as Jorge pointed out, the framerate drop isn't that bad. Sure, it's there, but the data shows that  Sure, it could be BETTER, but that doesn't make no anti-aliasing bad, at least not for Lords of Shadow because it is my opinion that the game is "good" although I claim that subjectively, not objectively.

dang man dats hurdcur. The 4-1 trial was fun on paladin

Probably the trickiest ones I did on that difficulty were for the underground caves (kill 10 enemies while poisoned) and the chromatic observatory (kill 10 of the toys regularly before finishing them off).

The latter was absolutely NUTS and demanded smart use of holy water and its shield, proper dodging, and focus guage buildup when in a pinch.

One interesting thing about LoS is the scaling on the abilities of bosses depending on difficulty. I'm gonna explore it more when I finish my platinum run, but I've watched my brother playing against Carmilla on Warrior and noticed she gets one less phase then she has on Knight (she actually breaks the last part of the platform on Knight).

Another thing I like is how bosses have their own "kill" animations for failing QTEs. Kinda worth failing on each one to see a bonus cutscene (and bosses like Cornell and Carmilla can kill you in a handful of different ways to boot.

Well, I finished entirely the game with all 42 Success in Paladin mode and every kind of achievment. Only 7 days to do that, not really tough.

It's clearly more than any IGA games which can be completed in 1 day the first time play, nearly impossible for this game as it's long and full of things to do (seriously, no cat search in this one or silk to find to make beautiful robes^^).

It was really a great game AND a great Castlevania. We just have to forget anything we know about Castlevania playing it. I missed the Axe, however, and some traditional weapons that weren't hard to add in the product.

Music is awesome, graphics too, plot I don't care at all, general ambiance was impressive, even in forest/jungles or snowly village which aren't very well known Levels for all Castlevania fans.

The biggest problem, is that we've got 4 years more to wait until playing a new "good" Castlevania. That's hard, and IGA' little creations will not be enough to satisfy us until then.

I would assume there would be less development time involved since a foundation is already formed for LoS's sequel. Should cut it down by a year or maybe even two. Besides, it should be easy to wait considering the long gaps between the sequels to other hard hitting action franchises, the IGA titles are really just extra padding that other franchises wouldn't get in your case.

Nice corneliab. That was pretty cool... what song is that, definitely doesn't sound like what's supposed to be there.

It is bad, you can't do that the first time around. And that way pretty much isn't what's intended.

The fact you can do that is the mark of good platforming.

Platforming as a whole basically died in the current generation of gaming. It's completely automated; every game is a mockery of PoP's/Uncharted's magnetic platforming. You don't actually jump anymore; you approach a ledge and trigger a QTE. I don't know if you ever played DMC1, but DMC1 had "qte" platforming in some places, and now that's an industry standard.

LoS DOESN'T have magnetic platforming. You jump, and it's a jump. Your momentum matters, you can fail jumps by jumping too soon or not having a running start and so on. That's why what Corneliab did works; because platforms aren't magnetic and jumps aren't QTEs.

Go and try to do something like that in Uncharted, or Enslaved, or Assassin's Creed (a slightly less offensive title, tho), or the recent PoP games.

To be absolutely honest, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyplace else in the game where you can do anything similar to what I did in the video. The spaces around balance beams and moving platforms essentially act as gaps in invisible walls, allowing you to exploit this particular stage. Most of the platforming in the game does not take place within such areas, and is mostly restricted to relatively scripted ledge traversal. Precision tends to not be a factor these places, as jumps are static in their distances covered and can be accomplished with either a flick of the analog stick or the tap of a button. There's also almost no alternative options in these sequences.

Granted though, I did prefer the platforming as a whole to the PS2 games almost complete absence of it. It definitely instilled a sense of progression. However, I do think that the game would have benefitted from more areas similar to the clock tower, where precision mattered. More actual platforms, and ledge areas with actual obstacles to overcome through timing (like the spinning gear and the whip-based section with the electricity).
