Hi Jorge.  Thanks for the clearing up the whole DLC thing for me.  Yeah.  It was a number of years back during the time when Paul Anderson announced that he was developing a Castlevania movie.  People seemed to really dislike my pairing of Sonia Belmont and Alucard, to the point where you had to remove several posts completely and issued warnings along the lines of "If you don't have any constructive criticism don't say anything at all."  Never did finish that script...I'll admit that I was discouraged from the reaction I got here, and the fact that PA announced his own Castlevania movie.

Then I disappeared for a number of years...and now I'm back big as life and twice as ugly LOL!

Sincerely,

David G. Lein

For a minute, I thought you meant the spider women from CV64, which make an appearance by coming out of the poison water...

1. The DLC may or may not be free (in fact, it's most likely not).  DLC stands for "Downloadable Content".  It's usually extra stuff related to the game, whether it's artwork, a new costume, new chapters to play, new armor/weapons, etc.  It really depends on the game developers what they want to give you.
2. You'd start the game and it'd probably ask you for an update.  Once you update, it'll have an extra section in the menu at the beginning saying something like "Purchase downloadable content" at which point it'd connect you either to PSN or to XBL and have you pay for it.  Then it downloads to the HDD in your system and your game accesses the files form there.
3. You were flamed here?  Must've been a few years ago when people were completely hating on Legends, as opposed to now, when people... only mildly hate on Legends, and mostly find it inconsequential.  Anyway, apologies for that.

I remember this site was very critical years ago with jerks who thinks their opinion is absolute.  Good thing things have changed

The mods and I have tried to remove the more 'callous' members.  Compared to how it was back then, this forum is a near-Utopia.
The most we get now are some heated arguments, but nothing like the olden days.

We still have some people who think their opinion is absolute... but they're far less jerk-like than the likes from the past.

LOL.
Nothing against A/DOS, but I think it would be more interesting(to me at least)playing as full fledged Dracula in a modern day city as opposed to a boy in the future who has the potential to be full fledged Dracula. Eithier way, it's going to be a bit bizarre unless a castle rips up through the streets and adds a little flavor to the atmosphere. Perhaps we won't even play as Gab/Drac in the next game. Who knows.
I don't want to play Dracula 2000: The Game.  ;D

Yea, I really hope we're still playing as a Belmont for the sequel. I don't want to see the series suddenly take an Aria of Sorrow/Legacy of Kain direction. That would be really lame.

I think the sequel ought to focus on what connects the ending of LoS to the sting (ie, how we get from "Gabriel defeats Satan" to "Gabriel is Dracula"), assuming they don't do that in the DLC. Currently, we don't really know anything about the Belmonts (we only know of one of them, even), or what happened in Romania-in-Scotland during the intervening time. I'd rather they worked on fleshing out the middle of the story than jumping straight to the end from the prologue.

So yeah, a Belmont for the sequel, preferrably telling us how everything went down and maybe working on giving Castlevania itself some backstory; after all, the series is named after the castle, but none of the origin stories have ever really gone into what the deal with it is, who built it and why, or what the demon it's formed from thinks of all this.

I always liked the idea that Lament had of unlockable villain characters. some future Castlevania game with Dracula and a Belmont,

should have the unlockable mode be playing as Dracula, and fighting the Belmont as the final boss. (at full power, naturally.)

shame we dont have more unlockable villains. (Besides Joachim and desu twins, who else do we really have?) Its something that can radically alter play style. Like how Joachim was COMPLETELY different than Leon abilitywise.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

Also, the twins had there own story that was sort of like a prequel to the actual game.  In other words, we see how they actually came under Brauner's power.  In every other game with unlockable characters, it's just going through the areas killing enemies with little if no story.  I'd like to see a game in which there were multiple unlockable characters, each with their own story that together created one overall cohesive story.  In other words, sort of like how Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep was laid out.
Behold my power and tremble

Or how DoS did with Julius and his little CV 3 team.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

HAY GUYZ

Yea I hear ya, I'm sure they will make it work somehow. I'd love to assume the role of another Belmont in the next game, but I'd also like to play as Dracula at some point, perhaps in an unlockable mode or parallel scenario.

Wow...this is looking pretty awesome. It's nice to finally see the dark lords as they were in their human form. That would be interesting to play as Laura, as it appears to be in the photos with laura and no Gab. I also don't disagree with the speculation of Frankenstien's monster making an appearance. I must admit I was kind of let down to fight a mechanical spider instead.

Nothing new in those articles, but the idea of Laura dieing in the end of Reverie does sound possible.
