Well if the Belmont clan wasn't already dead by LOS ending then they sure are now, any future clan members would just be Alucard with a whip

As of right now I'm not liking the direction the story is going either, but I really want to see how it all ends after playing such a long game. I'm not expecting a huge pay off from it but it would be nice to be surprised.

Gabriel was never a real Belmont by blood, so a real Belmont clan will never exist in this timeline. The way things are going, it's just an Elseworld story's take on Castlevania. It only becomes more obvious when, if I recall correctly, a comic book writer is actually in charge of the plot. Don't quote me on that though.

My guess is that the "Real" Belmont clan will eventually surface and take him down.
When he is finally taken down, he will be thankful for them, and will smile at their name.  Then this alternate universe story will have come to an end.

Unless he fathers a child between the end of LoS and the beginning of Reverie, then logically speaking, he couldn't be 'the first Belmont' at all.  He just picked that name, and has no successors.

exactly why i'm upsetness. i LOVE the belmont vs dracula (evil in general) take out belmont, and i just lose interest.
