I suppose I can understand people preferring the original game by merit of it, well, being the original game and all. However, acting as if the game's a godsend while the remake is a piece of shit strikes me as genuinely retarded.

I'm not saying the original Rondo is a godsend, I'm just saying the remake is shit.

I like Rondo, both the original and the remake. However, I DO NOT approve of Richters walking animation in DXC. You either stick with the original swagger or you come up with something completely different that doesn't look like...that. 
And I don't really care for the remixed music either. Other than that, it's a nice little remake. I think both games deserve to be played cause they honestly feel very different from eachother.

For those of you saying that DXC is blurry, have you played it on a TV?  The PSP's screen has awful motion blur, but if you use the component cables to play it on a TV, that problem is completely solved.  Yeah, the game was intended to be played on the PSP itself, but you can't blame the game's programmers for the PSP's faults.

HAHAHHA, you're right. I already know he's trolling the hell out of us but I didn't care about having the chance to utter "shit" a couple of times. I do like DXC, but Rondo is so crisp and clean on my TV that I prefer to play it instead.

well now i can legitly own rondo, just an excuse to sit back and replay the game again, but I do agree, its alot nicer on the tv, then psp, I found the psp blurrs alot when movement is present, but I think thats an interlace issue with sprite games

There's a rumour that the later PSP models do not motion blur as badly? I still have the very first, clunky one (except it's not clunky, just a little.. heavy). Some 360/PS3 games suffer from motion blur on my LCD HDTV too, Street Fighter 4 in particular. It's kinda annoying.

There was a model of the PSP Slim & Lite (the PSP-3000) that had a different screen, but if I recall, it created a whole bunch of new problems, and didn't even fully eliminate the motion blur. But, maybe all the problems I heard about it were bogus, and it's actually a much better screen.

But yeah, blurriness on that system is usually the fault of the screen itself. It's just too bad that the component cable translates the games to the exact pixel dimensions on an HDTV without stretching the image to fit the screen. And it sucks that the cable is so short... Seriously. I can't play games comfortably with that thing because I have to hunch forward.

And now my 2 cents on the game, I am actually glad the original voices were kept intact, something about them were quite charming, something the new voices IMO didn't hold up on. Good to also be able to play it legally on the big screen for the first time. The werewolf also wears underpants now, the original sprite sported nothing offensive that I saw, amazingly they figured that the beast needed a little something to stop drafty ass.

At first I told myself I would use Wii points on the Bonk games for the PCE/TG-16, but I broke down and got Rondo because I knew that I would want to play it on a bigger screen than a PC screen or PSP screen (yeah I own DXC, pleased with it in a different way), but with the classic controller I feel my timings off, and it took me awhile to learn that the - button was item crash.

My nephew has a PSP-3000 (NewSlim)
I have the PSP-to-TV Component Cable.
Colors look washed out and I have to play with the screen to get it to fill it (and when that happens I lose the widescreen).

How does the PSP-3000's screen compare to the 2000's, Jorge? I heard it has a lot of contrast boosting (some say makes it look more brilliant/colorful, others say it makes things too bright and washed out) and twice the response time, but apparently it has all these little dots everywhere that are ugly and distracting.

There seems to be some kind of jittery lines problem all throughout the screen, almost similar to the old "Interlacing" scanline effect from the old TVs.

However, this only happens during UMD playback (although I 'think' sometimes I've seen it during FMV in a game).

Aside from this the screen is a lot more colorful & a little bit brighter than the PSP-2000.
None of this affects the Component Video output though.  They seem pretty much the same.
