Yeah, if I recall, the only thing they implemented into DOS was if you have AOS in the GBA slot, you can see little dolls of some of the main characters in the shops toward the beginning. Nothing special, but a feature that is lost when playing on a DSi.

Saw the video of the 3DS, and I have to say it looks wicked.

Thanks for the info on backwards capability guys!! I think I might actually pick up the DSi XL!! The larger screens (and probably larger area for my hands) is a big turn on! ...not sexual, just... oh, you know what I mean.

yeah, i'd love to give one of my friends my old DS, but no, I have to keep it to play GBA games with a back light.  and i gotta keep my GBA in order to play my original GB games at all...

Personally I think that this new DS system should be reverse-compatable all the way back to the original GB games and on top of that, add a button config option. I felt that that was what the current DS was lacking was button versatility.
