Nintendo 3DS needs a new CV game! IGA, please :)

First of all, I am excited to see what the new hardware will bring, there are many speculation about it. Although I don′t play games anymore (except for CV and rarely sth else), I would buy 3DS if it had a new CV game and some cool Super Mario game (which I am sure it′s coming). I have high hopes that IGA′s silence has to do with a new handheld game for 3DS.

hopefully this mystery game will be much less of a mystery in a couple of days. I'm hoping the screenshots, if real, were from a very early prototype, and the actual game has brand new graphics. I don't know much about game developing, but I imagine companies could re-use sprites and backgrounds early on while they're building the engine or something, and then change stuff as they go along including the graphics... dunno.

That's about accurate shelverton. But only if they already have existing sprites to utilize as a temp base so they can get to the final product. I honestly do hope that they won't cheapen out on us as they have sometimes done in the past. It really says something about a game company that never fails to deliver a wonderfully polished product. And it says something else about them entirely if we see too many cheap shortcuts/cut'n paste tactics just to save money and time  :P I'd rather wait a while and let them do a good job with the final product then fork over some cash for a game that did not have any heart and soul put into it.

This. If the older sprites and all are just placeholders or an early build and it looks better/different, then I'll be happy. But that just looked...gah.

So, this is IGa's game after all.
And yes, it has multiplayer

If this is truly the brainchild of IGA, then I question his sanity.

Although, a part of me is still hoping he's flushing out all these "last gen" designs one last time & will impress us with a fresh, fantastic 3DS game.

You mean you've never questioned it before? :-\

He's clearly gone off the deep end since his Alucard game got snubbed by Mercurysteam.

Looks a little better in motion, but it looks really slow.

It looks slow cause the camera is zoomed out.. a lot!
Dunno what to think of this... it looks exactly like the DS games.

I think this is IGAs last fail.  One mediocre game and one bomb wasn't enough to get rid of him, but another bomb will probably be the end.

But it may have been that he was set up to fail.  A Japanese team making a game targeted at an American audience is always likely to fail.  This game looks especially low budget as well.  "Hey IGA make an XBLA game, here's 300k."  Even IGA in his prime couldn't overcome that.

What pisses me off the most is that Castlevania HD is using DS sprites.  Seriously?!?
