hod just does what it does. probably was successful at what it was aiming at. the exploits and imbalance are pretty bad since they directly affect the multiplayer experience so much, but hghghg.

Wow, I'm really surprised at idiotic comments like Sumac's last post.
Most of the people hate this game, so you shouldn't be surprised. In other words my comment is not as idiotic as attempt to justify this mediocre, recycled and half-baked piece of code, that for some reason released part of the Castlevania series.
Though I believe it could be a good time killer for some people, but still it's certainly a low (lowest?) point in the quality for the series.

And yet there are quite a few people playing it online, a month or two after its release.  Certainly it appeals to a lot of people, even if you're not one of them.  It would have been nice to have a CV made up of 100% brand new content, but this game manages to be new and fun without that.  Have you really put in enough time to declare it a "mediocre, recycled and half-baked piece of code?"

Speaking for myself: I tried HARD to liked it. And it was impossible.

Me too, it was shameless, frustrating and buggy as hell. If IGa can't make a game made of recycled things right, I wouldn't give a penny to him for a new CV EVER... the time limit is annoying, the healing system is too, graphics are crap and it feels like a quick cash in.
Hope the incomes made by its (low) sales (They are surely high as hell, the game didn't cost anything to produce compared to, you know, real games) go to funding a new 2D CV (externally developed, thanks) or LoS sequel.

Everything comes full circle

the time limit is annoying,

The first Castlevanias had time limit (with exceptions).  There's plenty of time to visit all the rooms,
and killed time penalty keeps things more challenging than if there wasn't a timer.
I would of preferred a rule where players would have to eliminate all of the enemies in the map before they can enter the boss room instead of a timer, but most people are used to the timer, and it does encourage more caution and teamwork.   :)

the healing system is too

What's hard about pressing two buttons?   Oh you might be too used to a tray always available full of potions, food and other items you collected to heal yourself?   That's too easy and would blow a part of the point of teamwork and higher survival skills.  :)

Any pure Castlevania fan would appreciate the graphics, I mean, these graphics are pretty much what people have grown accustomed to over the past years of Castlevania.  They really don't age.   :)

Yoko can spam her lightning magic like crazy.....multiple hits ftw....but I didn't buy her, so all I saw on screen was axe armor doing magical stuff.

Julius on the other hand is pretty awesome, shame his whip seems as weak as Jonathan's.

Forget your past as Julius Belmont and reign a dawn of sorrow on the creatures of the night!
I hope they add more DLC characters just so we can get more quotes like this.
