Actually, I should edit that. I'm not too hot on MK, but it does hold a nostialgic place in my heart, and some of the visual character designs are cool. Like... I like Cyber Sub-Zero. He looks awesome.

But yeeeeah.  Kratos.  Most of the differences are minor. Like, whenm Reptile normally vomits acid down someone's throat, he only vomits it over Kratos.

H-how is that plot good? I mean the game might have more focused presentation but I don't necessarily think that makes it a better story.
I mean it's good for a enjoyably bad camp story, but beyond that, hhhhh.

The writing was generally pretty decent.  For example, Johnny Cage totally stole every role he was in, there were a few other amusing in-jokes here and there, and so on.  I got a pretty big chuckle out of the aftermath of Johnny Cagevs. Baraka, and how it poked fun at the first movie.

I played a little bit of the story mode so far. Johnny Cage's script is corny, but also freaking hilarious!  That remark he made  about the shrimp on the barbie after defeating Kano was great.

This game is awesome.  I've been playing the hell out of the game and I finished Story Mode.
Topnotch work with the stages and the scenarios, even if the characters are sometimes terribly textured (Johnny Cage's and Liu Kang's Hair, every woman's cleavage).

Having played 1 and 3 on the Genesis recently, I remember why I never got into these as a kid - they were awful, awful games. But the newer ones I've enjoyed a lot more, and this one looks hilarious, so I'll probably nab it at some point.

I want MK vs SF already. Need Johnny Cage and Dan Hibiki tag team. Now.

Just finished story on expert and the tower thing. Great game, shame people rate it low because Capcom didn't have anything to do with it. "Journalists" tsk tsk.

Nowadays you are either a graphics whore or a fanboy. BR is Shank not CV. It is ridiculous to think that it is better than CV. If it was CV then it would be what RE4 is to Resi, a series killer. Dumb it down and make it look pretty. Enough idiots will buy it.

Mortal Kombat 9 represents everything that's awful about video games. It's trashy, it's corny, it's gory, it's sexist, it's racist.

WTF?
You either trolling or just insane.
Especially when saying that MK is sexist and racist.  :o

Well, I can't argue about the sexist part. I mean, I'd TRY to argue about it, but I'm too busy drooling at Jade's cleavage :)

They didn't do a very good job at making the cleavages though... all the girls look like they have a giant brown scar doing down their chest.  I guess they're muscular... kinda...
...but yeah Jade's one of the better jorbs.

I am kind of sad about them taking out the variety of finishers that MK Trilogy had. I had quite a few laughs at the Friendships.

The Animalities would be great if the animals people transformed into killed the opponent in ways that had nothing to do with their nature. Like a gorilla stabbing someone with a knife.
