What would be perfect CV anniversary titles for me?

Well, Symphony of the Night 2,5D remake with new added levels (like in Saturn version, but with more originality) and Richter in his Kojima costume. And more difficulty in the second castle.

And CastleVania 64 (not LOD) HD remake. New textures. Restored storyline (what they wanted to do initially before all the cuts, but without Simon Belmont and Maria Renard). Cornell with melee fighting style. And Corler as a secret character. Or at least as a playable character in the resored storyline.

Of course this will never happen.

honestly, i wanna see a console version of HoD, it would have been much better than SoTN if it weren't held back by the technology IMO

So it would be downright stupid for them to go the LOS route for the Anniversary.

Stupid yes, out of character for Konami as of late, no. But here's hoping my cynicism proves false.

Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse remake on XBLA and PSN for the win!

Except for the fact that VERY few people will pay $60, or even $50 for a 2D oldschool remake. $15 DL'able title is the way to go.

They could always do it in the same manner they did DXC by including 3 games in 1.

1 game is the main 2.5D Dracula's curse.

While the other 2 are the classic Dracula's curse and some other CV game.

I'd be willing to bet that fans would atleast pay 50$ for something like that.

I already own the original old titles, and playing the roms is ridiculously easy. Plus, there is no way that Nintendo would allow the original Cv3 to be released for anything other than a Nintendo system.  As far as I know, Nintendo has a contractual strangle hold on any game released on any of their systems.  I lack a Wii, so here's hoping that it releases on XBLA and PSN.

people paid $65 for Harmony of Despair and all the DLC when it came out, and there was barely any new resources used in that game.

Not everyone has illegal roms to play....

And also what do you mean by Nintendo will not let Konami release original Castlevanai 3 Dracula's Curse?

How does that work exactly?

Apparently Capcom never got the memo; Megaman Anniversary Collection, Megaman X Collection

Rest assured. Your cynicism is justified.

But since Cox has backed out of the anniversary, things seem to be looking up - but we can't be too sure yet.

I still say that Konami will stick to the LoS realm for now, for continuity sake (and sales)
Please no. Wherever LoS's story is headed is going to be nothing short of retarded and amateur writing.

2D > 2.5D

Unless the 2.5D uses sprites.

I disagree.

And one of the main reason is that 2.5D eliminates 1 thing that has always plagued the 2.D castlevania games and that is sprite recycling.
