Yeah the profanity really hurts your post quite badly.  You're acting like AVGN trying to get attention by being foul-mouthed.  It doesn't suit you, man.
I won't remove your post, and I can respect your opinion, but foaming off at the mouth like a child will not help you make your case here.

And I still use CD's.  Just got one in the mail for purchasing Ocarina of Time 3D.

I use CDs too.  Not to listen to, but to have a hard copy back up in case my iPhone and the iTunes on my computer get wiped out.  If we do get an album, Konami should just make it available on iTunes.  This way everyone can get it easily and if you don't have an iPod or iPhone, you can burn the songs on to a blank CD if you have a CD burner in you computer.

Don't get me wrong, I want a game as much as anyone.  But I could live with a "Castlevania Complete Work" if that's all we got.
Behold my power and tremble

I don't see anything wrong with a "Castlevania Complete Works" style all encompassing art book.
I'd want to see a COMPLETE complete works of CV art. No BS. I hate when companies release complete works of various games, but don't release ALL of the art in those works, then later down the line, they release a new version of the complete works with MORE "previously unreleased" designs(like alternate designs and unreleased sketches). None of that, "Oh, there's a few things we didn't include that's in the CV vault!". EVERYTHING! Every monster, every character, every item, background concept art(even for the older games, as I'm sure it exists), the whole deal! Square is pretty good a BS-ing with art. It wasn't until the release of Amano's Sky artbook collection that MOST of his FF work was actually allowed to be shown to the public, especially designs that most people never even knew existed. I still hope, one day, they release an "Complete Collection" artbook of FFVII, which includes all art, even for minor NPCs(Mr. Coates, Ester, Dio, Johnny), scrapped ideas(female Sephiroth, Jenova's cloaked body parts, Cobalt and Indigo) and Nomura's pre-production art for Sakaguchi's original characters(Detective Joe, Nicholas the Needle,...).

CDs are the shiiiiiiznit. I rip 'em right away and throw 'em on my iPod, but yeah, I still like having a physical product, looking at the art, credits, lyrics and such. An iTunes PDF just isn't the same. :O

But, I have no idea what music we'd hear if Konami were to release an album. I don't want to hear special arrangements and stuff... Those rarely interest me. Though it would be cool if they'd reprint and make available in the US some of those really rare albums like the Perfect Selection Dracula Battles. That would be sweeeeeeet. o.o Heck, I'd even be cool with iTunes releases of those.

I would take a compilation of every Castlevania title from every system on 1 blue ray all remastered. Though I doubt that's going to ever happen...a brand new 2D game for next generation systems is what I think everyone really wants.

I honestly do understand all this love for Castlevania's music BUT the fact is that most of the music ever produced for Castlevania is a mouse-click away.  Although special arrangements --even a live concert would be wonderful --are we really so cheap to be satisfied by a few MORE remixes of Vampire Killer and Bloody Tears?  If you wanna hear some remixed music, Rebirth is on the Wii, and Harmony of Despair is just weeks away if you don't already have it.  I'd rather see a brand new game with a good 25-30 tracks of fresh melodies to enjoy.

I agree.

Or a remake with a good 20-25 remastered tracks.

A port of Akumajo Dracula: The Arcade would be neat (it'd give me a reason to purchase a ps3 Move). They can also update it & make enhancements if necessary. It's prolly the 1 game nobody on this board has played yet..

Wouldn't a "game of the year" edition of LoS be a terrible 25 anniversary? Just the game with the 2 DLC's? What a nightmare....

$5 bucks says that they will give PSN people HoD and call it a day....

A special "Castlevania" edition of a console would be pretty sweet. They could release several of them, each with a different character on them or something.  :)

I'm sure I'll LOVE playing Harmony of Despair, so let's get that out of the way.  BUT HD is the most colossal monument of cannibalized code, recycled sprites, and copy/paste levels in all of Castlevania (and that's REALLY saying something).  Shamelessly cheap production values have put 2D Castlevania in the gutter --and if they do package HD as the Anniversary gift, it would be a perfect opportunity for us to drive the issue home.  Xbox players, who bought the game a year ago, would also be left in the cold --and let's not forget the Nintendo loyalists with their 3DSs and Wiis...  Any real Anniversary MUST be a multi-platform effort.
