FINALLY!

Atleast we know that they will not leave us CV fans in the cold for the 25th anniversary.

Now I just hope and pray that they do not let Mecury Studios handle this 25th anniversary game.

Nothing I would hate more then to have 1 of my favorite gaming series 25th anniversary damped by them making a LOS type of game for the anniversary.

Hopefully they have actually been listening to the fans and actually give us either

a.A Castlevania 1 and 2 remake
b.The Demon Castle Wars battle of 1999 game
or
c.A Castlevania Dracula's Curse remake

Well, unless the projects are near complete, they ARE leaving us in the cold for the 25th anniversary. That doesn't change a thing. The only difference is that the 26th anniversary might be fun. But still, year 25 is shot. It's like a belated birthday. People might come and visit you a week after your birthday and throw you a party, but that doesn't change the fact that you spent your actual birthday alone.

The worst thing Konami could do to the old-school fans is to announce Lords of Shadow 2 as the Anniversary Gift...  Sadly --that's a REAL possibility...

Guys, an announcement of LoS2 would make great annyversary news, but of course it just Can't be THE gift, of course the annnyversary thing must me something more, ehm, traditional

Good news to hear. I thought maybe there would be something. I hope it's not a LoS sequel announcement. But I still enjoyed LoS. Seemslike there is a lot of hate for it here

I don't think its actually "hate" for the LOS game here.

Atleast not from me.

I do not mind LOS2 being announced or whatever.

I just do not want it as the anniversary gift thats all.

That would just completely ruin the anniversary for me.

Why not? As I said it could work as a complemnetary announcement, the main one being THE Anniversary game we hope we are getting (and pray God it's not another POR)

I would LOVE to see the supposed Symphony of the Night sequel shown.

But I highly doubt that will happen.

What I would really want for the 25 anniversary would be a HD 2.5D Demon Castle Wars game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 with the metroidvania style of gameplay.

THAT would be just the perfect game IMO.

But if we were to get a CV1,CV2,or CV3 remake then I would still be plenty pleased and happy.

Castlevania: Oblivium Sempiternum Daemonis for 3DS, it will be set between LoS & LoS2

Hoo boy I'd love to see some people try to pronounce that in a Gamestop.

I wouldn't mind a LoS2 announcement so long as it's accompanied by either another 2D game (HD doesn't count) or an absolute, blood-brothers, my-mouth-to-God's-ear promise from Cox and MercurySteam that LoS2 will have no QTEs or wall shimmying whatsoever. (This won't happen, but hey, whatever they do can't be worse than Capcom's fuckery, right?)

Something akin to the Mega Man Complete Works book would be awesome too.

As much as I would love to see LOS2, I hope it's not that, it should be something special, something that the fans would all love to see. A good old 2D Castlevania game, metroidvania or not.






Besides, Konami will reveal LOS2 for E3 2012 along with the Contra reboot.
