As one of the Mega Man fans that decided to give the Battle Network series a chance, I can say that BN4 is a must-avoid, what with the frustrating scenarios (that you sometimes have to repeat) and nearly 300 fuck-ups in the game as evidenced by Epee Em of Something Awful's LP (granted, some fuck-ups are so severe that they counted as multiple fuck-ups).
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.

Venetic is a must avoid, I thought it had an interesting story, but appon purchasing the game i found a crappy fable clone, with a really poor delivery, amount horrid amount of glitches.

Haunted Castle isn't so bad if you just take it very slowly and cautiously. Some of the enjoyment if finding enemies and details that pop up later in the series, like the crumbling bridge before Drac's tower, the stained-glass knight, and obviously turquoise-armor Simon.

I wouldn't recommend Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. Way back in 2003, it was painful to see something so hyped blow up in my face. It's a buggy, completely unfinished mess. Only the first level, Pear Harbor, is complete. The rest is rushed with horrid visuals.

As for something more recent...I'll probably say Ace Combat: Joint Assault. It's a decent time-killer, I guess, but so many of stages are repetitive and drawn-out. The game was made with the expectation that you would play Single Player mode online, but even when the game was released very few people did so. Even though it was released at the end of last year, hardly anybody is online anymore. Oh well.

Xenosaga "franchise killer" 2, if only I had looked at the reviews beforehand, I had no idea this game would be a piece of shit when I bought it for cheap and I felt robbed in the end.

I watched a friend of mine play that game. I have no idea why they tried to make the characters look realistic given the anime visuals from the first game. It was certainly awkward. Wasn't there supposed to be like 6 Xenosaga titles?

I think the latter 3 were cut because of the franchise's relative lack of success.

A Bug's Life (GBC) NEVER HAVE I RAGED SO HARD

I hate this game so much that when i decided to try shaving the sides on a GBC game to fit it in my DS to see if it would work, (dont ask) It was my guinea pig. Sadly, it still works. But only on a GBC now.

i hate battle network series.
too good it´s just a spin-off and not a canonic sequel.

Battle Network stopped being good after 3.

Although 6 was pretty good, and a pretty good ending to the series, it was too easy to get good chips really early on, and therefore the game was too easy.

If you're interested in trying one of the games from the Bloody Roar franchise, avoid 4 at all costs. They didn't call that the franchise killer for nothing. Plus, the series started going downhill after 2 anyway.
On a slightly unrelated note, remember when beingthehero mentioned that there were supposed to be 6 Xenosaga games? Yeah, apparently Xenogears was supposed to be part 5...or so I heard.

Uh.... actually....

There should only be one xenosaga game. Or rather, Xenosaga 1,2 and 3 are supposed to be part one of a 6 part series of which Xenogears was supposed to be part 5 of.

Or so I've read.
