Haunted Castle isn't so bad if you just take it very slowly and cautiously. Some of the enjoyment if finding enemies and details that pop up later in the series, like the crumbling bridge before Drac's tower, the stained-glass knight, and obviously turquoise-armor Simon.
I wouldn't recommend Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. Way back in 2003, it was painful to see something so hyped blow up in my face. It's a buggy, completely unfinished mess. Only the first level, Pear Harbor, is complete. The rest is rushed with horrid visuals.
As for something more recent...I'll probably say Ace Combat: Joint Assault. It's a decent time-killer, I guess, but so many of stages are repetitive and drawn-out. The game was made with the expectation that you would play Single Player mode online, but even when the game was released very few people did so. Even though it was released at the end of last year, hardly anybody is online anymore. Oh well.
Xenosaga "franchise killer" 2, if only I had looked at the reviews beforehand, I had no idea this game would be a piece of shit when I bought it for cheap and I felt robbed in the end.
I watched a friend of mine play that game. I have no idea why they tried to make the characters look realistic given the anime visuals from the first game. It was certainly awkward. Wasn't there supposed to be like 6 Xenosaga titles?
