Is this basically how everyone would like to see it divided?

Since we keep adding stuff to the list, it might actually warrant a retail release on PS3 and XBox360 instead of 3DS and Vita, but I still think making digital copies available on Steam, PSN, and XBL would help bolster overall profits while keeping the hardcopies relatively limited.  If that's the case, a $49.99 console version ($10 less digitally) would mathematically work out to even higher revenue than I previously calculated, with less copies needing to be sold to make the project profitable.  Surely, Konami could expect more than 35k copies of each Anthology to sell between Japan, America, and Europe, and that's all it would take.  Really, this should be a no-brainer for Konami.

Well, now I've gone and done it.  I created a petition on Change.org to gather support for the anthologies we've brainstormed here.  Please help support it (www.change.org/petitions/castlevania-anthologies)!

You'd be hard pressed to find somebody here who didn't want a collection like this.  We've been talking about it for years.  Of course it would be amazing to have all of our Castlevanias on one disc or cart.  Even if somebody had an issue with the translation or the video filter or whatever, there's always the original version to fall back on.

The real question is whether Konami would ever do it.  To me, it's obvious they won't.  Look at the care they put into the Silent Hill collection.  They didn't.  (Granted it wasn't actually Konami, it was Hinjinx, but Konami didn't give them time, or funding, or trivial things like source code.)  Konami doesn't give two shits about the CV fanbase.

I'll have to agree with that. Konami didn't even celebrated the 25th anniversary of the series.

If they put LoI & CoD on 1 disc for ps3/360 and sell it for $40 i'd most likely buy it

they put HoD & AoS on one cart so it's not like they'll never do something like that again

This would be my biggest concern if an anthology ever saw the light of day. If it happened, I'd put in my pre-order just as fast as any other fan...and then sit back and wait to see how badly Konami screws it up. They seem to have become so incompetent in recent years that it's hard for me not to feel a little bad/embarrassed for them, if only just.

I think only the purists like us would buy such a thing. From a business standpoint, it would never happen, no matter how many signatures you get. I have a feeling that the CV fanbase is not as large as it used to be...

Can you please add Vampire's Kiss for the SNES? I really liked that game. Thanks!

Even if this was split into several volumes the cost alone of it when it hits retail I think would be a big issue. Best chance for a possible anthology would only to include cannon titles. Even one consisting of only cannon titles would have to be split, but cost wise may give it more of a hope seeing production someday. There are currently 15 games within the cannon now, that alone is a big project and the likelihood of a anthology collection slim. The other issue being if it has a large enough fan base that people would be willing to keep buying the collection disks to see the rest of the collections produced.

You want a collection of almost 40 ports of games some more than 20 years old to modern architecture? Do you know how much that thing costs?

Everything comes full circle
