Haha, Oh my it would take quite A while to personally thank you all. But its such A great feeling to be welcomed by all of you. Ive seen quite A few of you already on other posts (from which Ive tried to join in on!) and I know you are all great minds and great people. AllI can say is Thank you Again and A special thank you to Jorge D. Fuentes. With his rules and constant discussion in forums he seems like way more then A moderator and just like everyone else. So Thank you all once more -bows- I hope to get to know you all very well.  ;)

Correct me if I am wrong but based on observation and a little searching, you get respect when other people give +1(or more) to your posts. You can also get -1(or more). Those things are located on the upper right side of the post before the quote link.

That's right.  Your 'respect' is basically the amount of 'likes' you accumulate based on people liking your post.
There are no consequences to having a negative amount of respect.  It just means people generally don't like your posts and have been giving you minuses instead.
