I have been suspicious of this "Greatest Selling Castlevania" thing for a long while. I'm just not seeing anything indicative of that in the circles I frequent. I understand that is my own very limited sphere, but when a game is a hit... I can pretty much easily tell. We all know Halo was a hit. We all know Metal Gear Solid was a hit. Devil May Cry 3. God of War.
Lords of Shadow? Uh... from what I'm able to tell, it is neither oft talked about nor highly acclaimed... so... something's got to give. It's true I don't like the game, but I would give it the credit if it seemed applicable, but it just doesn't seem to be so.
Harmony of Dissonance, the game you have as signature was printed by 500k units worldwide. And it was good selling. All of IGA0s games except the 3D ones were under printed, which makes them rare for collectors. It's not a case of LoS selling the best by "being the best", but LoS selling the best by "being the one that actually was printed more than 10 times".
The LoS sales info came from Konami's fiscal year report. Those numbers are legit as they are made for their investors (and the stock market). I can't believe you seriously compared Halo to Castlevania, hope it was a slip. And for the love of god, I hopeone of your circles is not Vgchartz. It's banned from neogaf for a reason.

I think MoF bombing can only send the right message, perhaps, only perhaps, that got the game delayed to 2014, to make it less mercury-ish and more Castlevania-ish as they saw their "
genius" ideas were nor understood by us peasant gamers and runchy critics. I hope so.
